I can answer this pero hindi ako Kia rep. My Rio HB is nearing 20,000 km. already.
Sa Asean Region, Kia exports the Rio HB with the 1.4 engine mated to the 4-speed AT tranny.
Sa US, Kia decided to bring the Rio HB with the 1.6 engine mated to the 6-speed AT.
So its Kia HQ decision not Columbia.

Funny thing with the 2-weeks na wala masyadong traffic due to the holidays, my HB posted 8.5 km/liter during the last week of 2013 and 8 km/liter on the 1st week of Jan. 2014.

This week which is Jan 2nd week 2014, mejo ma-traffic na and balik na sya ulit to 7 km/liter.

So does it mean that Eastwood to BGC to Makati to Manila and vice versa traffic is really bad? I guess it is!

Too bad that when compared to its competitors on the same route, it seems Vios/Jazz gets 9km/liter.

Hindi talaga para sa lahat ang Kia Rio HB. But I am glad na hindi para konti lang kami ang nasa daan. Haha

Agree ako na iba ang engine sa version natin not because of Columbian watering down the specs, its because of fuel quality issues in RP. GDi's does not sit well with our present fuel quality.

I love that Rio hatch although i dont own one, it really looks good.

Kaka-full tank ko lang kagabi at naka-344Km ako sa ODO (3rd full tank), 33.4L din ang naikarga ko. Lumalabas po mix city/highway ko po ay 10.299L/Km (95RON).

AVG fuel economy ko po bago kargahan:


At eto naman po ang avg fuel eco nung tumakabo sa highway for 15-20mins (sorry po at blurrred ang kuha dahil si misis ang nagpicture, ayaw ako pakuhanin at magfocus daw ako sa pagmamaneho hehehe):


Nakakatuwa talaga 'tong rio5 at napakatipid sa gas.

Anyway sir, break-in period pa lang naman ako. Malaki pa chance na mag-improve FC ko after ko mag-PMS.

Still 5.2L/100Km(on-board data) is impressive for me, lumalabas 19.23Km/1L FC ko, kahit +1 liter, if may discrepancy ang on-board data, kumukonsumo ako ng 16.13Km/1L (purely highway). Nakakabilib talaga ^_^ (it's just me anyway)

nakalagay dun sa display mo ay ODO 746Km at sabi mo ung 3rd full tank mo umabot ng 344Km.

746 - 344 = 402

so ung 2 full tanks mo previously 402Km lang ang inabot?

boz baka sa kia po kayo hehehe jok, anyway mas maganda mag back read po kau sa fc kasi laki differnce sa fc mo yung amin......

we have here 4 kia rio puro ex s same result yung fc naman 9-10 km highway then 5-6 km city..................manual computation napo yan..

siguro sa 100% 99% same kami nang fc then 1% ikaw lang may ganyan na fc.....swerte yung rio nyo sir.....
