2012 Kia Rio

Hello, been back reading the past week as I got a good quote from an SA lotsa freebies (with GPS HU etc.) a good discount, and really seriously considering getting one. question is sa mga new HB Owners ano yung manufacturing date ng HBs nyo? Would the HB units in stock sa mga dealerships be of manufacturing date 2013? Sabi nung SA 2013 na din daw considered ng model though wala daw nabago from 2012. TIA

Check mo yung KIA emblem, if hindi naka-emboss yung letters, new batch na yan... yung akin emboss pa yung letters. Yung mga papers na nakalagay sa cars na galing sa Korea plant di ko sure kung meron dates nakalagay dun.. Other than that di ko na alam kung ano pa ang ibang diff

Thanks Sir, according to the SA, Oct'2012 yung batch nung nasa planta nila dito.

Kanina was trying the Rio HB 1.4L, impressed ako gadgets and the design. Pero nung nagtanong ako sa Service shop sa problem ng Rio, meron daw funny sound ang Kia Rio sa engine. Nang ma isolate, the fuel rating was the problem, Korean's Unleaded engine was rated 95 Octane while Philippines Unleaded Rating is 91-93 Octane. Ang recommended nila use Regular gas with 95 Octane. Maybe this will also solve the FC. Just sharing...

In the May 2013 issue of top gear their comparo for this month is Rio 1.4 Hatch vs Accent 1.6 CRDI
I wont mention who won (I wont spoil)but there appears to be something wrong

They Claim the Rio gets 9km/L in the city

The Accent get a more believable 12km/L in the city

Is this a joke or has the Rio fc problems been fixed?

Nangangarap-level ba yung claim nila sa Rio?

Or kulang yung claim nila (should have been more than 9...)

9 is achievable sa rio kung walang traffic sa city.

Normal fc ko 8.5-9 km/l sa rio 1.4at HB

With same route our sf gets the same fc as rio then GS namin gets only 7km/l

Hmm, thats good news, Im actually looking at cars in the 800k price range (pero matagal pa, ilang months pa)
I like the rio's looks but then I saw the 5km/l and I went back to picking between the fiesta or lancer

*c_cube May I ask? Your profile says down south, Is your 9km/l from alabang to makati runs or similar?

Sta cruz/quiapo manila to better living bicutan is my daily route. That's 20 kms one way and normally my travel time is an hour and 15 mins. Pag maluwag kalsada mga 50 mins to 1 hour kaya naman.

Regarding the fc, maybe i just got lucky na matino pa fc na nakukuha ko compare sa iba and i made it a habit to use 95 octane gasoline. Checked my spark plug from my 1st pms, malinis naman ang sunog ayon sa service personel

But if i have 800k back then and available accent hb, yun na kukunin ko. Lamang lang ang rio hb sa looks and toys, yun lang! Masakit man aminin.

If ayaw mo accent HB, Go for the lancer IMO

If 5Km/L lang ang Rio mas malakas pa sya sa gas kesa Sonata at Optima?
