I'm not sure if higher models have it, but I was reading the manual and saw the feature "Auto Light" of tailights and headlights. It said that when the headlight switch is in this position, the taillights and headlights will turn on automatically, depending on the light outside. It also said that the sensor (which is in the middle of the dashboard, near the windshield) shouldn't be covered with anything to ensure proper function. I assume the sensor is a light sensitivity sensor. I don't have the "Auto" position in my headlight switch, but I notice the sensor. I suspect that the sensor that I see is just a housing, because I felt around it (smooth all around), and it doesn't have any holes or gaps to function as a sensor. My question is if my analysis is correct. Do the higher models have this feature? Can somebody provide some additional information? If the sensor I see is really a sensor, can I just replace the headlight switch to gain the "Auto Lights" feature? TIA.
Yes, this feature is available on the high end model, the sensor you have mention is a photo-resistor, which changes the resistance value depending on the light level. Aside from the auto on / off of headlight/taillight, when the DRL/headlight is manually on, the sensor senses the surround light level and dim the dashboard/ instrument light according to your setting. At bright daylight, brightness set to maximum, when getting dark, example enter tunnel or cover parking, the dashboard/ instrument light will automatic dim to the level you have set before, upon exit the tunnel, brightness automatically back to full.

Sir SG how much magpapalit ng HID sa headlight? Sir Wahzal thank you sa advice, i called Kia Pasay yesterday regarding my concern and the service advisor told me that my footbrake is ok kasi talaga palang makakatakbo ang unit once engaged ka sa accelerator kahit nakafootbrake. Thanks sa inyo.

3,500 lang yung Xenon Headlamp brand na HID for low beam. Kay Maspro makakabili. Definitely mas maliwanag than halogens.

Auto clover yung brand nung rain gutter. May ganyan sa Seiring Araneta Avenue. Price is around 800 to 1000 pesos lang.

    Kaya DIY installation.

Yes sir, yun yung nasa tapat ng Arlington. Marami tayo accessories doon, pero so far rain gutter palang nakikita kong okay, kasi yung iba chrome na

Meron din tayo doon genuine spare parts tsaka engine oil from Korea.

Doon ako namimili ng parts for my Tucson and SF.

Somewhere near EDSA-Libertad? Good Gear ba yung name? Alin kaya ang mas magandang puntahan? TIA.

Ang preference ko sana ay yung no-rewiring. At most, add a relay lang. TIA.

If magpapalit ako, it's either Mitsuba Alpha, PIAA Superior Bass or Mitsuba Proud.

Oo yung good gear.

Wala sila mga accessories like rain gutter / chrome things.

    Hi Guys

At last I was able to bring home my Sportage EX! :2thumbsup::clap::cool:

This thread has helped me a lot in my decision.
I learned a lot from what you shared.
    Thank you VERY MUCH.

Went to Subic for the test drive. The driving experience was amazing lalo na sa NLEX at SCTEX.

All stocks so far, except for the GPS/reverse camera.
Had it arranged and installed by the dealership prior to pick-up.
OK naman so far, nakarating ako sa Subic using the GPS as my guide.

    Drive safely everyone.
    See you around.
