Planning to get one this March. Sorry if this was asked before. how's the suspension on the 2wd version? Did some research and it says that it has quite a stiff ride? I'm using a 2006 Honda crv now and I love the ride.

My other choices are the Subaru xv or the Mazda cx5.

    More power to you all!:-)

    Hi,

Regarding doon sa brake noise/groan, sa Australia may fix sila at under warranty.

    Noisy brakes - Kia Forum

Regarding parking brake issue: Forgetting to release it, I've experienced this a few times, but every time I forget to release it, once I place it in reverse or drive, it wouldnt move, so automatically, it alerts me to release the foot parking brake. For me, the foot parking brake is quite strong and alerts the driver that they still haven't released the foot brakes.

The issue regarding brake noise, sana nga mawala na yung noise na yun...its really irritating at times. Especially in stop and go traffic. I think the pads they use is just to sticky. I hope after a few hundreds km, mawala na yung noise.

Regarding FC, my FC meter still reads average of 13.5km/ 100 liters...its still not good, but wala choice, just enjoy your ride. btw, my Sporty is AWD and rolling on 20's.

I agree. If you were able to drive off with it engaged, then either your foot brake is not fully-engaged or there's something wrong with the locking mechanism in the first place.

    Hi guys.

    1. Need pa ba na i-break in o i test drive ng malayo ang Sportage para malaman kung may problem o wala? May benefits ba? May desired speed ba o driving condition when doing the break in?
    2. 1 month to 1.5 months daw bago ma release ang new LTO License Plate? TIA.

^ #1. Eto yung recommendation ng Manual. Personally, gusto ko i-long drive not only to test the unit, but to let the engine run on higher rpm. Plus, it's probably just me, when I go on highway drives, I notice an improved FC when I return to the city driving.

No special break-in period is needed. By
following a few simple precautions for the
first 1,000 km (600 miles) you may add to
the performance, economy and life of
    your vehicle.
    • Do not race the engine.
    • While driving, keep your engine speed
    (rpm, or revolutions per minute)
between 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm.
    • Do not maintain a single speed for long
periods of time, either fast or slow.
Varying engine speed is needed to
    properly break-in the engine.
    • Avoid hard stops, except in emergencies,
to allow the brakes to seat properly.
    • Don't let the engine idle longer than 3
    minutes at one time.
    • Don't tow a trailer during the first 2,000
    km (1,200 miles) of operation.

Regarding doon sa MMDA, I think it's just a week. That's why dealers provide a "work-around" . Eitherway, depende yan sa crocodiles sa daan, at time of the day(merienda o lunch). Best to keep your ride clean, and looking new, para maniwala na less than a week old pa lang.

Regarding the parking brake issue, Sir Av5or8 is also experincing the same condition that i have, that is sometimes forgetting to release the footbrake BUT on my part ung unit ko umaandar when engaged to Drive or Reverse at tsaka po nagwawarning, while kay SirAv5or8 hindi sya aandar kahit na nasa Drive or Reverse, bakit po kaya ganun?

If you still worry, better bring your sporty to casa and pa open brake mo para macheck ang lining niya, have it adjust if necessary, para na rin mawala ang worry mo

    Hi,

I'm not sure if higher models have it, but I was reading the manual and saw the feature "Auto Light" of tailights and headlights. It said that when the headlight switch is in this position, the taillights and headlights will turn on automatically, depending on the light outside. It also said that the sensor (which is in the middle of the dashboard, near the windshield) shouldn't be covered with anything to ensure proper function. I assume the sensor is a light sensitivity sensor. I don't have the "Auto" position in my headlight switch, but I notice the sensor. I suspect that the sensor that I see is just a housing, because I felt around it (smooth all around), and it doesn't have any holes or gaps to function as a sensor. My question is if my analysis is correct. Do the higher models have this feature? Can somebody provide some additional information? If the sensor I see is really a sensor, can I just replace the headlight switch to gain the "Auto Lights" feature? TIA.
