sayang walang steering mounted controls. Pero I think I like this better (in terms of looks) than the Sta. Fe.

November 5th, 2008 12:36 PM #16i've read somewhere that the new engine would be used...a slighly more powerful 2.2li CRDi.... i just hope they change the feeble Timing Belt to chain and help users avoid hefty maintenance bill.
and tranny wise it seems it's going to get the 6speed a/t...not sure if its the one fm. the Aisin sourced for the veracruz...
no any news at all of DualClutch tranny fm. Kia / Hyundai group...sayang.
then price wise, would it still be cheaper than the existing Hyundai Sta.FeII? i hope yes,,,otherwise if it becomes too expensive then forget about it. Hyundai / Kia should continue on their previous promise of Value for Money.

Indeed it is the redefined 2.2L Hyundai CRDI VGT engine. 186hp | 412 Nm (304 lb-ft).
This is probably the next engine upgrade of Santa Fe II (or III).
That's like wow. :-)
BMW though, sets the bar with their CRDI 2.0L with 204hp (dual turbo ata).
Hyundai-KIA should start considering dual turbos. hehehe.
