For a long time now, my pickup is puffing out some white smoke (only visible pagnatapat sa araw on mornings and sa headlights when viewing from my rear view mirror when driving at night. hehehe...the thought of having it top overhauled has been in and out of my mind thinking na baka valve seals na ang problem...btw, nawawala sha once normal operating temp. is reached.

again, im wondering, pagnakakakita ako ng mga crosswinds, tingin ko ok pa ang ride ko kse most of them, even the latest version na sportivo do this (spews out white smoke) and mas madami pa nga kse sa akin...normal ba ito with isuzus? ive been driving mine for 5 years now pero 10yrs old na sha, alaga naman...i don't think dumadami yung amount ng smoke, very minimal if ever it had....just reached 200k kms on its odo and d naman nagbabawas ng langis.

    thanks again!=)

    black smoke in diesel= normal
    white smoke in diesel=very bad

nakikita mo ba kung may white smoke pag umaarangkada ka?kapag ni rev mo?

pag sa UMAGA lang na bagong start, most prolly moist lang.

pero kapag tanghali mo na unang start at meron pa nyan, pa check mo na.

pag galing sa very slow moving traffic tapos sabay arangkada, i can see some on my sidemirror pero 2nd gear and up wala na...same applies when taking off from a red traffic light.

hmm...i'm sure a compression test would likely answer my questions..just wanted to get some opninions here as i see a lot of the newer model crosswinds do this...=)

nangyari din sa akin yan bro beetols.

my friend told me na baka dahil merong moisture sa fuel tank ... and moisture can cause white smoke daw.

compression test --- ok lng, basta free... but seriously, this will not answer the 'white smoke' problem.

    HTH :D

*jagxtrm -- thanks for the advice pero i regularly check radiator level and its always been the same...nabawasan sha last month, filled it up and ngayon i never see it go down. hmm...im wanting the compression kase parang gusto ko na ipa top overhaul this weekend...just so i know where to start from, kase worn out valve seals can also be the culprit.

beetols.. ipa tune up mo sa isuzu casa... try using 15w40 grade oil din... dont use malapot na oil... and change ur fuel filter regularly...
white smoke wen engine is cold is normal.... its not a bad sign.. malamig pa naman ur engine kaya ganun... unless like mga jeepney dat kahit naka stop umuusok ng itim... black smoke is also emitted wen u depress on the pedal hard coz some of the diesel wont get burned in the chamber... but kung parati na nag black smoke.. ders something wrong sa engine mo... hav it checked.... yup new crosswind also emits white smoke wen starting a cold engine but mawawala rin if the temp rises.... and try running it in a highway inorder for the engine to make buga lahat ng naipon na carbon deposit...

    How about this:
Every time I start my engine early in the morning, it spews out black smoke for a few minutes, then it slowly turns into greyish white as the temp goes up. Normal din ba to?
    Btw, I'm using biodiesel.
Also, kala ko mag-iiba amoy ng usok pag gumagamit ng BD kagaya ng sabi ng iba, bakit sakin mabaho parin, typical diesel fume.

Whoa! Ganun ba yun? I'm using BD from SeaOil, mixing it with Petron diesel. I'm using the recommended blend of 200mL for every 20L of fuel. Speaking of tune up, I just got mine serviced (casa maintained) about a month ago. Also madalas ko din syang patakbuhin above 80kph sa SLEX, wala naman akong napapansing kakaiba, except that typical slow acceleration ng xwind from full stop. Should I have it checked? Or should I stop using BD?

Isuzu Crosswind? Black smoke in the morning is normal. Heck, ours started doing that at less than ten thousand kilometers.

It's possible that a carbon clean or exhaust cleaning will help with the smoke, though.

And usually, black smoke will go away with the next tune up. Maybe you're overdue.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
