    Hi Guys!
sino at saan nyo ma-recommend mag pa-timing at calibrate ng Isuzu MU with a 4JB1 engine? yun sana bihasa at sanay at may experience sa ganitong makina. i have a problem with the injection pump's boost compensator (yun diaphragm sa itaas ng injection pump). as per the last calibration center i went, stuck-up na daw ang linkage nitong boost compensator lever kaya what he did was recta na lang daw. so parang in effect, lagi ATA malakas ang fuel delivery ko while ang purpose nitong boost compensator is to richen or give more delivery ONLY during acceleration and lean while doing slow to normal type driving. kaya siguro matakaw sa krudo itong MU ko. what i do for the meantime is adjust the #8 screw underneith the pump w/c is for fuel delivery para lessen (tipid mode) or increase fuel delivery (hataw-belcher mode) as needed.

also, anyone out there has an Isuzu MU? i think my engine vacuum and/or pressure hoses are all mixed up. If meron diyan na AS IN original and stock pa ang mga hoses na ito, i'd like to come over and see your MU and copy where these hoses should lead or connect to.

also, saan surplusan kaya meron LSD differential for the MU?

saka i'm also looking for a TPS for this engine too. TPS means throttle positioning sensor and this is the small round thing secured by two screws with a 3 conductor wire. its mounted on top of fuel injection pump. this TPS is one of the causes why my automatic transmission doesnt shift right. most of when during acceleration (matagal kumambyo or minsan mabilis naman.

    thanks in advance guys!

kung minsan nakakainis kapag dinala mo sa well known shops...parang trademark na ng isuzu ang maingay na engine. kaya kahit ikaw na gumagamit, may napansin na kakaibang tunog, they would also sound normal to them kase nga maingay daw talaga ang isuzu...sheez!

anyways, for calibration...i had mine calibrated at DENSO banawe. ok naman sila, they have manuals for all types of injection pumps kaya kaya nila ibalik sa original settings lahat. i have learned my lesson when i had it dismantled in one of those small calibration centers...doble ang nagastos ko tuloy. Zexel (sa Edsa yata ito nearing balintawak) can also do the job but expect almost casa price. Lastly Central Diesel in Q. Avenue is also good with these pumps including turbo repairs naren. i have the 4jb1t too but on a pickup. =)

Hey astro49 -- do you also post at clubisuzu forum? i think i recently saw your handle there.

    good day

sir ask ko lng kung bakit kaya pag sa umaga e white smoke anmg lumalabas sa exhust?

Depending on the mileage and smell, white smoke may mean unburned fuel or blow by caused by insufficient compression.

Pero after tumaas na ung temperature sa normal level nya e nawawala na ung white smoke?

Thermal expansion of components, oil pressurization and engine speed improves compression.

What can i do? ano pag ginagawa pag dinadala sa calibration? mawawala ba ang usok pag bagong calibrate?

In calibration, the pump is disassembled, checked and all necessary worn out parts replaced then run in a machine called test bench simulating events like max rpm, idle, boosted etc and fuel delivery measured. If its not within specs then its adjusted to OEM standards. Data from the OEM is critical in a good calibration without it then its guesswork.

Black smoke pwede. White smoke not as easy.
    Good luck!

AFAIR white smoke resembles to loss compression of the engine? i'm not that sure. but since you only experiences white smoke while cold starting, im not sure.

i also own an MU and if the TS refers to the hoses on engine bay, at stock ganun na talaga yun, not properly tucked in. kalat tignan.
