In terms of psi sir regardless of the weather temps:

Front 30 (specs calls for 29 but i use 30 anyway)
Rear 36-37 unladen, 39-40 when loaded sizeably.

I think this recommendation is very good for a DMAX.
The trade-off of comfort loss is exceeded by the safety margin increase factor and significant fuel milage gains.

It is important to note that weather temperature is negligable. However readings should be done "Cold".

Cold readings mean the truck has not been driven when measured. Just a few miles of driving can very significantly increase the readings.

    Ciao!

    Uncle Nick.

Thanks for the heads up Unk Nick ;)

And you're probably right, we just adjust the tyres by feelers, but you don't want those 30sh to 40sh numbers when you're into these places:

Max tyre pressure in dry season 10 psi, and 7 psi during wet....

    Cheers and best regards.

    Sorry to go off-topic.....
Do you know of any experiments done with liquids (non-freezing, non-corrosive) added to inner tubes of hill-climbing cycles for added traction?

    Ciao!

both of my cars (a Dmax and an OTJ) have 33 psi at front and 35 psi at the rear. Pag nag exceed kasi dun matagtag yung ride at during long trips, prone sa pre mature wear yung tires dahil excessive heat from the brakes as well from the road increases the tire pressure slowly. as for fuel consumption parang same lang rin.

You don't get more brake heat from high inflation pressures. You get excess heat from the road due to sidewall flex, which happens more at lower pressures (as seen in the Firestone-Explorer scandal).

I've run 45 psi in the Crosswind for years with no excessive center tread wear. In fact, the outside of the tires still wears out first.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
