sir sa central diesel in Quezon Ave., i've inquired before because mine is leaking too, estimated price was 35-40k, i just can't remember if they included the labor; mahal daw kase talaga ang OEM repair kit; mine is still leaking until now and has done so for more than 50k KMs now, parang hindi naman kase nagbabago, and they said your turbo could use a little lubrication.
unless you see a change in the performance or it gets really smokey, i say you leave it as it is sir; and if it has finally given way, get a surplus 4jb1t with a working turbo and just use the engine for parts (was also advised on another thread). somebody said a brand new turbo unit will set you back 90k.
Try mo sa SPEED LAB eto link http://www.speedlab.com.ph/products/...ntercooler.htm
They have turbo intercooler din na brand new na 4 sale check with them kung pwede dyan. Tapos balitaan mo nalang kami.
thanks guys for your inputs. i didn't realize the repair would be that expensive. i will try to pass by speed lab and phil diesel and get an estimate from them.
as for the idling. it doesn't change even after a long drive. and the engine is not loosing any oil. so i will keep your recommendations in mind. thanks.![]()
Have you tried disconnecting the PCV tube?? Your turbo system may not be leaking oil at all and may possibly getting oil from the PCV tube.. OIL MIST from the engine is being sucked by your turbo...then it goes to your intercooler (if equipped) then to your intake manifold..
sir good day! ask ko lang kung mga kaibigan.bakit kaya meron ako nakita na oil leak sa starex ko coming from turbo, meron pakaunti unti na droplet mula sa turbo. ano po kaya solution dun, meron ba effect yun sa performance ng engine?
Check your air filter. If barado ito the turbo sucks oil instead of air.
It can affect exhaust smoke and oil consumption.
