I'm not sure if it's your glow plugs/ heater plugs or your injection pump. If lagi hard start pag half tank, check mo rin fuel lines and fuel pick up, yung sa loob ng tank.
baka meron leak ang fuel line mo. tomorrow morning, before starting your engine, try to pump the fuel pump first. start your engine. kapag hindi na nahirapan, baka nga meron leak somewhere. check first the O-ring on the fuel filter, usually over tightening will break this.
IMO, the solution(s) to your problem depends upon the engine model in the Trooper. Do you have the 3.0L, or 3.1L, or 3.2L turbo-diesel? For example, the 3.0L, 4JX1-TC engine has peculiar problem of hard-starting, the solutions of which are totally different from the other models. Please specify.
zitro,
Did you have any work/ service done on the engine before the problem started or has it always been this way?
How many kms does it have? Did the water separator warning light ever light up?
this is weird. I just change my 2 oil filters and new fuel filter. also air filter. my engine is 3.0 4jx1-TC. what I observe is pag full tank walang problema..
hope i could help but considering your engine is the 4jx1 model, i concede. i wouldn't want to make too much assumptions on something that i shouldn't talk about: Common Rail Technology of BOSCH/ZEXEL.
if it were mechanical, it's easier. if it were EFI, CRT models of DENSO, that's our territory.
BEST, you bring it to INTECO. just be prepared for the costs.
What oil did you use on the trooper- 10w30? Did you see the actual oil used? Hope it wasn't serviced by Inteco!
Check your fuel filter- esp the drain plug underneath, has to be screwed tight. This fuel filter takes a long time to bleed properly (about 5-10 min). Any air leaks could cause your problem.
i used petron all terrain. by theway, do you have any info about shock absorber? im planning to change my stock shock.. my friend told me to buy rancho rs5000 front and rs9000x back.. also i want to lift 3"... hope you guys could give me where can i find shop selling this items.. thanks
Zitro,
I'm using rancho rs5000 in front - don't like them. They're actually oil filled inspite of the label saying some gas. They're also a bit shorter than stock so this limits play. They faded all the same after 3 hrs on the halsema hway from sagada. Stick with KYB gas- they're not that much harder than rancho.
zitro,
who changed the filters? I would presume that there is something wrong with the pressure of the fuel that is coming in to your fuel injection system.
common rail fuel injection are high pressured systems wherein a constant level of pressure should be maintained.
since it's an Isuzu, then you must have the Zexel fuel injection system. visit our shop so we can diagnose your problem. that goes with other brands like BOSCH, Doowon and Stanadyne where we specialize.

Bilstein shocks are monotube type. We, woodfire & I think pajerokid are using it and so far this is the best that we have tried. But one thing though, you'll have to dig deeper into your pocket. If I remember it right, it costs P5,500 per tube.
I have used Rancho 5's for 3 years on our van and not quite contented with it. Too soft and too early to give up, to say it was only used on city limits because of 4x2 capabilities.
You could try giving Freeman a ring and ask for the best solution to lift your ride. 7277201 look for Kits. :D
ARB,
I measured the rancho 5 before installing it and found it short by a couple of inches. So called the dealer(monroe mktg), even sent the orig shock for comparison, they said it was the right rancho model for the trooper but it needed 2 people to pull the shock to full extension!
I don't think a wheel has enough weight to "fully extend" the shock on actual use. The KYB gas naturally rebounds to full length but the rancho won't. Also asked a shop to measure the rancho vs orig- they too found it short. Is this normal with rancho 5s?
IMO lang they used the old part no for your trooper, the old box type has shorter shocks than the new one. and yes front shocks usually is fully extended when the suspension extends to the bump stop. maybe a half inch difference is ok but not a couple.
the rs5 is not gas filled so it wont extend like the KYB's which are gas type and will extend automatically when you get the strings.
