bakit kaya ang tooper ko sobrang usok kapag umaarangkada ako?
Ano kaya ang pwedeng gawin para mawala ito?
I have been reading threads about khaos, aerogas & Ego device... but it seems no positive feedback from real users...

I used to have one. There was a great improvement when I used Total diesel. Pinaka mausok sa akin Caltex. Also always keep the air filter clean.

napagusapan din namin ang diesel quality sa HK EB. yung mga diesel vehicles sa hong kong, especially yung meron mga similar models sa phils., hindi naman mausok and tahimik ang engine. it just proves na talagang marumi ang diesel sa atin.

Suggested tips to lessen black smoke for your trooper:

    1. Always keep ypur air filter clean (pahanginan ng compressor every now and then)
    2. As much as possible, patronize 1 gasoline station only (if caltex, caltex all the way. If petron, petron lang...etc)
    3. DO NOT USE WATER to clean your exhaust muffler
    4. Religiously follow the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS)
    5. Use only the prescribed Special Oil from ISUZU (it helps)

    suggestion lang naman ito......

yung boss ko, ginagamitan nya ng biodiesel trooper nya ('02 model). he had the same complaint... mausok daw, specially sa umaga. bumagsak pa nga daw sa emission testing one time. ginawa nya, pinakargahan nya ng 1 gallon biodiesel, then run for a few weeks on BD, tanggal daw usok, nag improve pa arangkada.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that the Isuzu Oil is just repacked Shell Rimula?

Isuzu are known for their loud and smokey diesel engines. Sorry no offense.

i will try to ask a friend in isuzu kung repacked shelloil yun...pero i heard independent company daw yung besco, the manufacturer of the oil for the trooper.....

petron all terrain na synthetic is a good replacement for the motor oil ng trooper. Bro really, try the BD route not because Im selling BD but it will really reduce your harmful emissions. Pa-test mo sa emission center before and after para scientific yung experiment mo.

I always thought that one of the strength of the trooper engine is less emission.. :car:

the strength of the trooper engine is in its toughness n reliability esp sa truck(elf). but sa trooper na direct injection, sa casa ang laglag mo for pms n pyesa. mausok talaga.

    KC,
Hoy kinawawa mo na ang mga trooper..hehe. But I second KC's statement for the 4jx1 troopers. Pero for the 4jg2s I think ok ang makina. 7 yrs na trooper ko (g2) and up to now walang usok.

    djerms,
true yam, yung trooper mo masmatibay pa sa 01 trooper ko. d lang trooper, i think all crdi engines can't handle the poor diesel we have here in manila.

    KC,
O nga. May friend din ako before na naghahanap ng 4jg2 engine to swap with his 4jx1. Pero hands down talaga ako sa power ng mga x1. Di ba naremedyohan na ang usok problem nito by using 2 fuel filters in new crdi vehicles to date? Correct me if i'm wrong.

    benny010,
Are you using besco or Petron all terrain oil? Any other oil will cause smokey exhaust.
Bio diesel helps but takes longer at 2% use. Try 5% BD or a diesel injector cleaner. I've never failed an emission test nor tested more than 0.6.
If really bad smoke, have a Tec2 diagnosis done to check injectors.

try mo K&N na air filter, we have installed on some units owners said that it reduced the black smoke.

also try mo ihatak sa highway ng tagalan, it just might be carbon deposits due to the stop and go nature of traffic in manila.
