    Guys,

Question naman... am planning to have a secondary filter installed in my trooper to prolong my Injector... have the MR. funnel already however after using it for how many times I got tired hehehe... kasi naman after using it mangangamoy diesel yung loob ng sasakyan mo due to the MR. Funnel... and trooper ang ride ko so no trunk to put Mr. Funnel.

So upon reading some information that RACOR filters can separate the water which basically what MR. Funnel do I have grown interest in these.

Can you please advise where I can have a secondary filter installed? Also to those who have experience having these installed how was your experience... could you share where you have these installed.

Contact nos, contact person and address of RACOR would be very much appreciated.

    thanks in advance!

bro, PM mo si diesoline dito sa tsikot. Or consider also micro brand. As per our testing when Racor made a demo in our place and showed us how racor separates the water from the fuel, we found out micro also does the same thing.

altec, thanks for the response... di ko rin alam san meron micro hehehe... so basically am opting for whatever pero siympre kung san mas dependable dun ako mamaya kasi mahirap maghanap ng aftermarket parts... particularly the filter.

    thanks!

Racor is available locally sa mga industrial supplier. Check yellow pages. I came across several seller before.I asked for a 5 micron filter before and they have it. Sa installation better if you know someone na may talyer para you can see the actual install and discuss it first with the mekaniko. From tech point of view hindi naman complicated. Pulido lang sana yung trabaho.

sorry for the late reply, guys. i wasn't able to log in to tsikot for quite some time. i will meet with the racor territory manager on tuesday next week. we will be discussing solutions for the toyota D4D and isuzu 4jx1 problems. you can join us if you are interested. the time and place of the meeting are still to be determined. if you can come, the meeting will be more productive if you will bring along your troopers.

    papao:
below is the filter i pm'ed mdpo and totoybato about. the info and specs are in the pdf file that you can download here.

the info sheet states that the filter assembly comes with a 30 micron element. that 30 micron element can be replaced with a 2 micron element for the best possible filtration.

Where did you purchase Mr funnel? How much did it cost?

It looks exactly the same as the Racor funnels. Same construction. Identical teflon coated filters. Just different labels.

    diesoline,

why do you need the whole assembly? isn't it there are available racor filter element which fits to the current OEM fuel filter? I saw one in Cruven.

mitchael: sorry for the late reply, the funnel I got it at states kasi di avbailable dito. Di ko lang alam ngayon.

Doggie: ilan micron yung filter na nakita mo? Matagal na yung racor na brand... Di ko lang sure kung it would fit the OEM assembly.

if my memory serves me right, it's 30.

also, i've been to one of the authorized distributor of racor. their office is somewhere in new manila. saw several filter assemblies (filter element w/ basin + top cover). the ones i saw here resembles the pic posted by diesoline. the one in cruven has the shape of OEM filter element, so i assume the OEM top cover fits into this racor model.

by the way, there are a lot of models in the dealer's office. i just can't figure out which one is compatible to pajero as each model has it's own specifications.

i ended up empty handed and decided not to buy it anymore. besides element w/ basin + top cover (the whole assembly) costs around 8k. that's too much for my pocket.
