Guys,
Just want to ask kung normal ba na nararamdaman mo ang vibration ng makina sa loob ng sasakyan. Minsan wala minsan nararamdaman mo... just want to ask other trooper owners out there.
Also, pansin ko na mausok ang sasakyan pag umabot ng 2,500 up ang RPM... have you experience this???

October 15th, 2002 06:17 PM #2I don't know if this'll help, hindi din kasi ako sure dito eh. diesel ba yan? kasi I think past 2,500 rpm sa diesel mataas na daw yun, over-revving ka na...
but don't take my word for it, kasi pati naman ako di sure eh... let's wait for the answers of the others...

October 15th, 2002 06:47 PM #3normal ang vibration talaga sa diesels. lalo na kung sanay ka sa gas engine, may significant difference talaga.
and mataas na 2,500 rpm for diesels. most of them reaches peak torque at or just a little above 2000 rpm.

October 16th, 2002 03:38 AM #4mdpo, wala naman po akong experience na ganyan sa trooper ko po. The only time na nararamdaman ang vibration is during start sa morning. Di ko rin napapansin ko mausok po. Iyon lang.

How old is your diesel engine? Have you changed engine oil when you noticed the black smoke? Sometimes, injection pump settings could be the cause for the black smoke.
With regards dun sa vibration sa loob ng sasakyan, idling maybe too low or below 600 rpm especially when the engine is cold, diesel engines usually need to warm up a bit to return to their norms at 800. After running it for half of the day, do you still hear the noise? There are many possibilites which makes sounds from your diesel engine compared to gas fed engines as papa tots quoted. :D

followed your posts, sa kabila pa , hindi mo pa yata hinahataw yan. So, possible na nag-accumulate na ang carbon. Try mo i-drive sa expressway, probably sa STAR para may katagalan, above 2500 rpm. Also, possible yong brand ng diesel, shell ako, at limited to 2 stations only. Reasons? calibration ng kanilang dispenser, second, pure diesel, walang tubig.
Vibrations:
Sa startup lang (di nga pansinin). Other than that, wala na, dampers na ang bahala doon. Ganito kasi yon, sa unang hilander, pag nag-start, nginig buong body, sa trooper na 4JX1-TC, sa engine lang (kunti sa body).
Since 4JX1-TC yan, kailangan yan ng electronic probe, if you notice a dangling connector below the steering wheel, dyan nila kinakabit yan. Better pay a visit sa Isuzu Alabang, (with appointment para di hassle sa pila) doon kasi sa suki ko, iisa lang yong probe computer nila at shared ng tatlo ba o apat na branch nila.

my trooper is only a few months old... 3,000 kms palang ang takbo.

may kilala ka ba sa isuzu alabang? plan ko kasi sabay sabay na lahat yung mausok, ramdam ang nginig ng makina and i also have some warranty complaint like bakbak na ang gold sa LS etc...
so far lumalabas lang naman ang usok pag bigla umabot ng 2,500 rpm pero pag medyo matagal nawawala naman... pero pansin na pansin yung white-bluish smoke tuwing umaga kahit naka idle lang. Yung ngining naman madalas ko maramdaman pag naka idle o naka stop sa traffik. Btw nararamdaman ko yun and when i took notice at the rpm di naman bumababa ang needle ng rpmn bakit kaya ganito?
I also use shell tapos filter ko pa para wala talaga tubig.

sorry, wala po akong kakilala doon, ni-refer din lang ako sa old board, noong masira ang oil sensor at walang maipalit ang inteco QA.
Based sa descriptions, kailangan talaga yata ma-analyze ng computer yan. Sa alabang mo na lang dalhin, pag warranty claim, walang labor charge. Although marami silang service bays, be there early.

haven't owned a defender but they do have a reputation for being unreliable. i'm sure they not...
