Hi I'm new here and I have an Isuzu 1999 trooper with a 4JX1 engine. Nabasa ko from the previous thread na problemihan talaga yung ganitong engine.

Para maiwasan ang mga problema, ano kaya ang the best na pwedeng gamitin parts, saan the best bumili and the best service for a trooper na ganitong (hinde ko pa kayang mag casa medyo mahal)

    Air filter?
    Oil filter?
    Fuel filter?
    timing belt?
    Engine oil?
    spark plugs?

Medyo first time kong mag maintain ng tsikot kaya medyo lost ako. Ayaw ko mangyari yung mga nakita sa ibang threads like fuel sa radiator etc. I need help big time. I would really really appreciate your help

    Maraming Salamat

bro; 1st batch ng 4jx1 trooper yung nakuha mo. yung sakin kasi last batch ng 4jg2(both 99 model tayo). tama sabi ni kimps, usually injector ang problema. pero meron di akong kilala na di pa nagkakaproblema since nakuha nila unit nila. alaga ka lang sa langis sa ganyan.`

Langis? as in engine oil? Actually this is the second engine already, we got it from Japan (through Subic). Yung first engine 4jx1 den na punta yung engine oil sa makina pero hinde kasi naalagaan masyado nung unang may-ari. Kaya ako ngayon Im taking all the precautions.

Is there any way to avoid having injector problems besides the engine oil? Tinawagan ko na yung walco sabi nila yung oil daw na ginagamit nila is Besco Mineral 10w-30. Chineck ko sa mga previous posts ok then daw ang petron Rev x all terrain 5w-30 Fully Synthetic. Ano ang mas ok for my type of engine.

Pasensya na, kung medyo ignorante, ayaw ko lang talagang masira yung makina. Medyo mahal yun eh

I used and still using petron's 5w30 for my trooper, about 7 liters per oil change...changes both primary and 2nd filters, air filter, and fuel filter

    and

liqui-molly diesel purge (avail at Hans Shangri-la, 6th level) once every 6 months, 1 liter on a full tank

4JX1-TC model 2000 yong sa amin

and a trip to caylabne, a must, I must say, to blow the soots away (joke)

Are there different 4jx1 engine models? Im also considering using the 5w-30 instead of the 10w-30. Any thoughts?
