September 25th, 2008 06:05 AM #2hindi pa ako nakarinig ng fuel knocking noise eversince.baka engine knocking noise ang ibig mong sabihin.anyway,maraming dahilan kung bakit maingay ang makina,una age ng vehicle,pangalawa wrong lubrication,worn or parts at higit sa lahat unscheduled maintenance.yun bang parang okey lang sa operator bastat may langis at tumatakbo pa ay okey pa rin.paki specify mo lang kung anong klaseng ingay.pop,knock,clunk,ping,slap,rattle,whine,moan, squake. at pakisabi na rin kung kailan nangyayari kung idle o high rpm,cold or warm,loaded or unloaded ang vehicle,low or high speed.

September 26th, 2008 05:55 AM #3thank you sa reply,bagong bili ko lang ito 96 pckup , 133t lang natatakbo nito, anyway pinatingnan ko sa ibang mekaniko at sabi ay ok daw makina kaya lang kailanagn itiming ang gear sa injection pump,doon daw nagmumula ang ingay, dinala ko sa calibration center at ok din daw ang injection pump, ginawa nila tinaas ang huling gulong at pina kambyo sa akin ng 5th gear, nagpinaikot nila at di syncronize daw sa makina , may parang may lagutok pag iiikot ang gulong, baka daw may tama ang timing gear, anong palagay mo? mahal pala timing gear ng isuzu?

timing gear? this is rarely replaced so get a second opinion; they always say that you'd still find your timing gears intact even though your engine had finally given up; i got so worked up before trying to lessen the engine noise on my LS, got the same comments that you did, "sir normal yan for an isuzu", did what you have done -- had denso checked my pump and nozzles and they were ok [that was 4 years after i had it calibrated]; tried experimenting on different engine oils and finally ended up with shell helix diesel, i've never changed from then on; try to compare it with other LS pickups, preferrably a well maintained one for benchmarking; add 100k+ on your mileage and that's what i have on mine; it's smokey and spewing out oil from all over but never needed topping up in between. =) mine has a 4jb1, bigger but almost identical with the 4ja1

Pansin ko lang ha, mas maingay ang fuego pick ups with 4ja-1 compared to crosswinds, might be a difference in muffler installed i guess.
btw mamay, observe mo muna kung di naman nagbabawas ng langis at okay ang FC (at least 10 + kms/li) ay wala munang ikabahala, talagang maingay ang isuzu NA engines. Valve clearance check is one of the simplest thing to do first. Good luck.
