Most surefire way is through chassis number. Local 3.04x2 Skyroof Troopers have a chassis code of PABUBR73xxxxxxxxx. 3.14x4 Jap Bighorns have JACUBS69xxxxxxxxx. But traces of conversion are almost always very evident, like the 8 way adjustable seat at the right side, A/T shifter with button at the right side, reversed indicator stalks, etc.
My local 4x4 4JG2's chassis number also starts with JACUBS69 . . . , so it is not a sure identification for a surplus. The location of the wipers, car radio antenna (surplus is located on the left front fender), the angle of the side mirrors (surplus left side mirror is positioned more to the inside of the door), surplus 4JG2 engines have EGR, to name a few. HTH
hello trooper owners! ask ko lang kung meron bang lumabas na local trooper with 4jg2 engine 4x4? what years did it came out and ok pa ba to bilhin na 2nd hand car?
Yes mayroon, I own a 1997 4JG2 LS manual 4x4 unit since new. It was the first year that the TD came out together with the V6 but with auto trans. It has no fender flares but with a hood scoop for the intercooler, whereas the gasoline version has none. I believe it came out only up to early 1999, after which, the automatic versions came out for the diesel variants
mGa sir san kaya makahanap ng relay sa automatic transmission
trooper 2004 nagloloko na kasi
try ako pasay di kolang nasuyod lahat wala sila
baka my marecomend kayo o my number kayo ng store
TIA
Meron bro. I think 1999 and below. They're pretty rare though. Napakatibay kaya konti ang nagbebenta.

As long as the mileage is authentic, condition is good, and it really is a local unit. 300k is actually a good deal.

* Sir GTi:
ask ko na lang din kung alam mo ba na may lumabas na local trooper with 4jg2 engine 4x4 Automatic?
kasi ang sabi nila mero daw lumabas na local 4jg2 4x4 BUt with Manual transmission and not matic.
itsura nabinebenta sa akin is like the LS or skyroof without the fender flares and hoodscoop.
TIA
AFAIK all local 4JG2 Troopers were manual. I could be wrong though. There are however, many automatic Japan surplus 4JG2's.
If without a hood scoop, that Trooper is definitely a gas V6.
Perhaps the unit was originally a gas unit that was converted to diesel?

Any one here used Bilstein shock absorbers for their UBS69 troopers? Was it a better ride than OEM? Can I have the part number of the front and rear shocks and where did you buy them?
Hi mga boss, ask ko lang if need naba na rewiring ng trooper. Yung left turning light is hindi gumagana as well as the break lights, ok nman yung bulb since umiilaw ciyah kapag nakahazard? and if rewiring po, how much yung estimated na gagastusin.
I personally have no problem if the car had an engine transplant as long as it was done correctly with a good engine and has proper documentation.
