For me, the TDIC variant still has more edge over the V6 (no offense to V6 owners) in terms of practicallity....hey its a diesel after all.

Good luck in your vehicle hunt. You might want to join the Isuzu people here in regular EB's. Try to read through threads in the Isuzu forums.

    Thanks.
i would love to get a diesel version, sir.kaya lang wala sa budget.the thing that's drawing me to the trooper is the price...380k,125t km,newly replaced rocker arms, timing belt & lifters...what do you guys think?

1st time owner ng crosswind, kalalabas ko lang sa casa last thursday, full tank sa shell then went to makati, antipolo, tondo and nueva ecija. Travel a total of 245 kms then full tank kagabi ng 20.26liters yields me a 12.09km/liter.
Hoping na after 1500km check up eh pumalo ng 14km/l :-)

I missed my 2001 XT X-wind . Binenta ko last Feb. 2011 *P310T tumatakbo pa ng 15kms per liter kahit 11 years old na sya. Yung ipinalit ko Adventure 2012 SE, medyo makunsumo ng konti * 13kms per liter sa highway and 8-10 sa City driving.

Just purchased an Isuzu Dmax LS SE manual tranny 2 weeks ago...pina full tank ko kaagad just to have an idea about its approximate fuel consumption habang naka break in period pa sya...

    - 2nd full tank ODO reading 400+ : approx FC = 14.4 km/liter
    - 3rd full tank ODO reading 700+ : approx FC = 14 2 km/liter....akala ko gaganda anf FC
    - 4th full tank ODO reading 1100+: approx FC = 15.8 km/liter...panalo!!!

note: I'm driving on paved provincial roads 75%, city 25% and I am not a "clutch" driver...sana gaganda pa FC ko after my 1st PMS...

2008 AT XUV Crosswind (acquire 01.2009) Last summer, drove to Baguio with already 36K km in odometer... 2 passengers.
from my place(full tank) then at arrival in Baguio(full tank again) odometer tick at 352.5Km / 33.76liters of fuel = 10.44Km/liter
    Gala in Baguio(3 days,full tanks in both ends), you know Baguio roads..Uphill, Downhill...odo tick at 52Km / 10.16L = 5.11Km/liter
    Back home via Manaoag,Pangasinan to Batangas, odometer tick at 343.2Km / 28.1liters = 12.21Km/L

Too many variables, Sir, and meaningless to conjecture without more details about your unit. If your fuel economy deviates widely from mariner's (see post before yours), perhaps start with the simpler options first like tune-up. If you'll be having it done sa casa, their diagnostics might yield some clues. Assuming you conduct proper PMS on your unit and are judicious in your driving habits, the other major culprit might be the need for calibration of your diesel engine.

I, myself experience similar fuel economy as mariner. I get only around 8km/l in pure city driving, very short trips of less than 3km each direction around 3-5 days every week. But on highways, I do get 12km/l. No surprises there for me.

hope we got the same ride, actually...if im using my at xuv crosswind from bahay to palengke,2 to 3 times week, 6km one way...20 to 30 minutes ride,or more kasi minsan kelangan mo paikot ikot kc wala parking sa palengke and a moderate build up of traffic along the way, my fuel consumption was also lag at 7.5km to 8km per liter...but oh highway, yes..between 11km to 12.5km per liter.

ok.. I'm getting an XTO model soon. Kala ko pa naman di bababa ng 10km/li kahit city driving ang crosswind. A lot of people says sobrang tipid daw pag isuzu. Nung nahanap ko lang ang thread na to saka ko nakita ang reality, hehehe.

The reason why I chose the XTO over the XT is aside from the all power feature, it also has the turbo diesel engine (wala pa sa XT). Iba daw kase hatak pa din pag naka-turbo. Good luck nga lang sa fuel consumption

Sir, good day, for the information...my ride was also turbo charged, but the turbo works only nearly or about 60kph, you will feel hatak above this speed, but if you been inside the city or palengke, i dont think that you can reach that speed above 60kph, so it means turbo will not work at that time.

I see.. thanks for the info sir. Yung XUV mo sir is A/T right? Sana masmataas naman ang makuha ko sa XTO

Crazy, but I'm drooling over Hyundai Eon right now, haha! Ang layo, crosswind at sub-compact car. Naisip ko kase at least brand new, maporma, incredible pricing and matipid talaga.

Yes, xuv AT likewise. In fact, worst I got on pure city alone was 7.1km/l. My best was 12.1km/l on provincial highway.

and so to my observation based on some post with their fuel consumption on their crosswind, it was depend on what model of crosswind they had, even the engine of xl,xt,xto, xuv, sportivo are the same, fuel consumption will be different because of body,wheels...as for body and wheels of xuv and sportivo are slightly bigger compared to xl, xt and xto....so for the guys who driving xl, xt, xto, they will got a more distance per liter and with the experience of Chronopile and me using AT XUV crosswind, our fuel consumption are almost the same, even in city driving or highway...want also to know the fuel consumption of other tsikoteer who ride AT XUV Crosswind....

Hehe, two different animals. Brand new eon will probably yield similar fuel economy as a pre-owned xto. Since xto is low maintenance, it will probably yield similar maintenance cost as brand new eon. So you have a stalemate here. Of course xto trumps the eon as regards versatility. In the end, get whichever speaks more loudly to your heart.....
