Isuzu Fuego [Merged]

Sana hindi off-roader yung owner ng 2001 Fuego, hehehe. I'm still waiting for a call from my brod-in-law kasi kapatid nya daw ang pupunta at mag-check nung Fuego. Sana okay yun para yun na. between the '98 and the '01, mas better choice ciguro yung '01 even with 25k difference in price. Sana maka bigay ako sa inyo ng magandang feedback bukas....

Updates: pinuntahan ng friend ng bayaw ko yung 2001 Fuego, inunahan siya ng owner na may nag-offer daw ng 560k hindi niya tinaggap, hindi nalang nag offer yung tao at nagbolahan nalang sila kasi way below yung 450k offer namin. Tiningnan ng bayaw ko yung '98 Fuego 4x4 last monday kasama ng mekaniko at kinilatis nilang mabuti. A1 condition naman daw, may chrome roof rack, chrome side step boards, bedliner, electronically operated sunroof at original pa lahat incl. paint. Normal naman daw yung mga gasgas, walang ding major dents at 83T km yung mileage. Recommend nila na okay na kahit yung owner ayaw ng ibaba yung price na 425k. Bukas kukunin na ng bayaw ko yung pick-up at next week, baka andito na siya sa amin. Maraming salamat talaga sa mga payo ninyo.

P.S. ano nga bang dapat nating gawing initial maintenance activities pag bagong bili yung second hand vehicle para makasigurado?

Hi Sir, Is the sunroof original? I hope not, alam ko walang sunroof ang fuego, otherwise, baka imported (?) eto.

Ang alam ko din walang sunroof ang mga fuego kahit d-max wala pa akong nakitang naka sunroof.

NovicE at howee, merong sunroof, electronically operated at na-test din ng bayaw ko. Hindi ko rin naiisip na wala ito sa ibang fuego ah. Imported kaya ito? hindi ko natanong. pero itong fuego na ito ay company car nung may-ari tapos binili nya from the company at kaya matagal nabenta, eh inaayos pa nya yung papeles nya at sa ngayon okay na at tamang-tama yung timing namin. i have some pictures, i tried to upload 2 pics sa attach files options sa additional options ng thread na ito but not sure if tama ba ang ginawa ko. paano nga pala maglagay ng pics dito sa reply post? Try ko itong insert image button, script ang lumabas at hindi ko alam kung anong isulat, hehe..help...

Habagat 88, I have been following up fuego models years ago. In fact I own a 2001 A/T 2.8 li 4x2 fuego but I never encountered one with sunroof. Just a precaution, it could be converted subic surplus. Just make sure you are buying a good one.

Howee, thanks a lot for the advice. My bayaw will be picking it up today, i told him to ask the owner about the sunroof. Are there really subic surplus fuego's? as mentioned, nagdala sila ng mekaniko to check the fuego and wala naman silang report na surplus or converted yung fuego at okay naman daw yung papers. Di ba pag surplus galing Japan may mga Japanese character stickers at markings sa vehicle? If ever surplus yun baka LHD na surplus, okay din ba yun?

HI Habagat. Mukhang oks ang deal na yan a. at 83km lang since '98? alaga talaga. Just check for the smoke belch nito. Pag maitim na baka kailangan mo na calibrate. Mine is a 4x2 but malakas ang hatak. I hope yours is too kahit mas luma kesa sa akin.

sana tinest nyo yung sunroof kung nag leleak pag nabasa. medyo maselan magkabit ng sunroof.

yup...better make sure na leak-free ang sunroof or else...problema yan.

i also have not seen any imported Fuego so far...imported isuzu and other brand of pickups differ in one way or another with the local counterpart and it is really not hard to distinguish them. usually nakikita ko na imported pickups are the space cabs.
