Hello to all Tsikot readers & patrons !
Ian,
Thanks for the tip. Will check out Isuzu Makati as well as Manila for the parts.
I had the same problem like you once, a car or a pickup? I ended up with a pickup

I havent regretted choosing the pickup since. My wife complains the aircon is too cold esp at night(i have it set to lowest setting). There were times when we had to go to the province during bad weather, so it was a big help to have a rig like this. To traverse bad roads, light floods and bad weather. It allows us to go atleast where a car would not be sufficient... or atleast I would be more confident using a pickup than a car. It allows me to take on loads of cargo, that (again) a car wont be able to bear. Transport furniture, take home canvans of rice, baskets of vegetable and produce hehehe Masmadami ako naiuuwi pag pickup dala ko hehehe... And that worry free feeling about the pickup since its built to be more robust than(again) a car, esp on bad roads and the occasional bad weather we have in the philippines. Can't complain about diesel consumption, matipid sya. once I observed I had a full tank going up to baguio, and it consumed only 25% of it. I havent had a chance to take it up to baguio again to verify it bec. the ride is not as comfy esp for a family on very long drives. honestly, thats the only compromise for me. kaya minsan kahit guzzler yun suv namin, I take it on long drives esp kung may passengers ako and kasama yun family.
ngayon may bagyo(typhoon paeng) uli and its so nice to use the pickup during weather like this hehehe

fuel filter: Genuine Isuzu, planning to shift to VIC replacement fuel filter
2. TRANSMISSION:

3. POWER STEERING:
oil - i'll be using CASTROL TQ Dexron III
4. DIFFERENTIAL:
oil: Shell Spirax SAE140 GL-5 (SAE90 GL-5 max ambient temp of only 35 deg C)
Djerms, 2Dmax
Thanks! I'll do that again, I have another run at that distance by Nov.1. I was just amazed na 1/4 lang ang nakuha hehe so hindi pala ganun.
You know I havent really tried yet to top-up the tank since I bought it kasi sobrang tipid nga and I don't feel the need to carrying that much weight most of the time.
Has anyone of you tried change oil services ng Rapide?
Any experiences?
Sa labor nagkakatalo yan mga bossing. Ang labor ng casa for a simple change oil job (5tkms pms) ay umaabot sa 1,700Php. Grabe.
What you can do is just buy the original filters sa casa then have another reputable shop install.
Jason,
Ano difference ng Motul mineral sa Shell Mineral?
had anyone of you purchase turbo timer from PAJERO 4x4? any comments?
really dont know pero very good reputation ng motul. Gusto ko lang try. sabi kasi sakin ng casa 7 liters daw ang kasya sa dmax tapos 250php per liter ang motul. Kaya cguro napamahal 2Dmax.
guys follow up ques. Baka kasi mag 18's nalang ako. Anong tire size ang tama para sa 18's na wheels for our dmax?
speakin of color...may nakita ako kanina Dmax LS with a shade of Gunmetal yata. Very very nice!
7 liters? lunod ang engine mo nyan for sure. always remember that ibang iba ang ISUZU DEALER from ISUZU MANUFACTURER. dealer just wants to make money by telling you that your car needs this and that (all because its business) while manufacturer tells you the right thing about proper maintenance so your car would last longer and when your car lasts longer it means good market for them because car buyers will think that their car is reliable..
also, 5 liters lang ang actual oil capacity ng dmax because during oil change hindi namann 100% ng langis natatanggal..
