update lang. to those who are interested in getting their drop-in K&N filter for your dmax, you try to contact Roadstar enterprises * 8160585-86 (Fort Boni branch), though, filters have to be ordered muna kaya required ang downpayment. 3.8k to 4k daw ang price.

Mga sirs, after a lifetime of cars and one suv (gas ), and after lurking and reading your posts here on the dmax thread, I finally took the plunge and took delivery of a brand new D-Max LX around 2 weeks ago. First pickup and first diesel ko to and so far I have to say all the praises for this truck are spot on, this is definitely one of my best (if not the best) vehicle purchases I've made . It perfectly suits the lubak and bumpy provincial/munincipal roads that abound.

Just want to ask though how accurate the fuel mileage gauge is? So far I'm getting around 9.6-9.9 driving around/between the provincial municipalities around the laguna area. Is this about right for the light/medium traffic + some expressway use?

dont rely on it. fill it up and subtract ur mileage. divide mo with the difference. spent 3000 pesos trip to bicol frm binan to dongsol and back to manila.the best pik up on the road. bar none.

warning for limahong. please don't use all-caps.

*r3mu506, well, medyo malakas pa sa una kasi the engine needs to be broken-in. pero you'll notice it kapag tumagal, titipid din yan basta consistent ang driving style mo. by consistent i mean, di ka lalagpas ng 2000 rpm pag shifting sa gears saka wag hataw ng hataw. can consume 12-13km on combined driving conditions.

tip: to check how many liters consumed, top-off the fuel then reset the trip meter to zero. tapos sa next fill-up mo top-off ulit, kunin mo yung na accumulate mong kilometers then divide mo sa liters na dinagdag mo. i.e. 25L, etc. dun mo makukuha ang talaga consumption mo.

    mga sirs,

after reading ung mga thread dito at sa ibang pickup brands, i have to say isuzu talaga is the best! that's why we're planning to acquire one, although i still have to convince my dad kasi ford fanatic cya.

curious lang po ako reg the new D-Max's chassis. makapal parin ba cya tulad nung previous D-Max? and about the LX and LS trims, which one is better? kasi i read sa website na wlang ABS at airbags ang LX na trim, aside form the other aesthetic stuff?

advise from u isuzu D-Max experts will surely be of great help!

*limahong, ian_rex: salamat mga sirs sa replies about the mileage, mukang kailangan nga muna ma-breakin bago gumanda yung mileage ko...

*cbgavin: LX yung nakuha ko and the differences from the LS are the following: no ABS, no airbags, no foglights, front grille is color keyed (chrome on the LS), side view mirrors are black (chrome on the LS), door handles are black (chrome on the LS), rims are silver alloy (chrome alloy on the LS, both are the same size though, same din ang tires), stereo HU has no usb input (meron sa LS), no side mouldings on doors (meron sa LS)

aside from the above, everything else is the same (engine, chassis, ride height, interiors, etc).
