February 5th, 2008 11:34 AM #3522hello fellow dmax owners, my dmax '04 LS model's tire is already thin and i plan on replacing it with a new one... now i am planning to increase the tire's size. my question is, what is the largest size possible (thickness and width) that would fit my original rim that is 16" which would not hit any part of the car's chassis when the wheel is turned at maximum steer and while rolling? a friend of mine told me that he put a mastercraft brand which has a size of 265/75/r16 and it did well... do you think that that brand is good and adequate? any other brand you can recommend? please do note that i have no plan of replacing my original rim and i still intend to use it, i just want to know what is the best maximum sized tire that would fit it nicely. does equipping a larger tire affect diesel consumtion or the car's ride and speed or is it safe? any inputs and suggestions would be highly appreciated... thanks in advance.

about clutch replacement service;
to replace the components, how long will it usually take? one casa reports maghapon and one casa reports 2 days. (my previous experience with cars says it should only be about 4 hours)
what is this about "flywheel refacing"? (sounds like a page from the rapide brake service menu, another it "Might do good, but not necessary thing to do")
it will add a day to the service as well as to my paranoia that they will probably use an outside machine shop. mag turuan pa sila pag nag ka problema.
assuming according to them i need it, but i refuse to undergo that flywheel refacing. will i suffer some sort of breakdown or will it adversely affect my new clutch components?
my logic says i rather have a thick flywheel with some un-even surface (like my brake disks) versus a thin smooth flywheel. i have the durability of parts and ultimately the truck in mind.
thanks

February 6th, 2008 12:27 PM #3529Just came from Isuzu Alabang kasi akala ko may defect ang D-Max LX na kinuha ko from them yun pala it's a curious "oversight" ng Isuzu Corp. ata on the '07 D-Max, kasi yung door open indicator sa dashboard does not light up kahit nakabukas yung mga pinto, nag try pa ang service tech ng both showroom LS units and talagang di functional yung door open indicator sa dashboard
labo nga e.
May kasabay din ako isa pang customer who brought back his LS kasi nagtaka din siya bakit may indicator sa dash, nakalagay din sa manual, pero di naman umiilaw yung indicator pag bukas yung door.
You'ld think na nung naisip ng Isuzu na ilagay ang dash/instrument cluster ng altera onto the dmax na something as simple as a door open indicator should work as well, weird hehehe...
Small flies in the ointment lang naman, isabay mo na dun na yung "Auto" function ng driver's power window is only auto for down/opening ng window, pag up/close, di siya auto-up.
I guess alam na ng Isuzu kung anong pwedeng isama na i-tweak para sa '08 model.

something's wrong with the sensors sa D-Max ko.could you guys suggest kung ano kaya ito?ayoko kasi dalhin sa casa eh.had a lot of bad experience sa casa dito.
1. airbag sensor lights up.random ang pagiilaw niya.usually after mga 2-3 minutes ng takbo.nawawala pag humihina ang takbo,then pag medyo malalim ang apak sa gas,umiilaw na naman.
2. CEL.started nong hinahabol namin yung FJ cruiser.wala naman atang noticeable change sa performance,pero i want to be on the safe side,lalo na ang umiilaw ito pag umiinit na ang engine, i.e. ilang minuto ng WOT na takbo.
up for suzuki
