eto pala engine options ng DMAX

    http://www.isuzu-tis.com/eng/vehicle...rformance.html

mas malakas pa rin Ford Ranger (170HP ba?), but what surprises me is... kaya pala ng 4JA1 up to 120 HP given the proper turbocharger. sa ngayon kasi 80 HP lang yung NA engine ng XTO, 85HP lang ata or the turbo version. I can only imagine what kind of acceleration and power you'll get if you install the turbocharger of the DMAX on the crosswind.

just swapping the turbo won't do the trick for the older crosswind. the new 4JA1-T MAX is listed as a direct injection engine. madaming babaguhin doon sa older 4JA1 and 4JA1-L.

...wan't able to finish my above post for some reason...

anyways the 4JA1-L is designed for low boost, so there might be problems going with a big boosting turbo. at the least there has to be some strengthening done, likely with the internals.

the new 4JA1-T MAX has surprisingly high compression for a turbo diesel (17.7:1), almost the same as the N/A version of the older model. if it can take big boost at that compression, the internals have got to be quite strong.

Isuzu peeps, according to motioncars, the Chevy Colorado pickup (the twin brother of the Isuzu D-Max) will be released in the Phils later this year. It will allegedly come out a few months ahead of the D-Max.

Aba! 120 hp!
