I have an Isuzu Crosswinds XUV Model 2003 MT.

I am very very very satisfied with this vehicle. It may be an old 2003 model and not that flashy but hey it has great FC (16-18 KM/L), Cheap & Readily Available Replacement Parts. No wonder current resale price of this 2003 model vehicle is between PhP 450,0000.00 to PhP 500,000.00 (Search www.**************).

Since my vehicle is an old 2003 model, I was initially contemplating to trade-in my vehicle for the 2012 Isuzu Crosswinds Sportivo. However, the tag price of the 2012 Isuzu Crosswinds Sportivo is PhP 1,170,000.00. For me, this is "HARANG NA HARANG". Over over over over over priced, considering the current model is all but exterior aesthetics upgrades.

For the above stated reason, I have decided to just upgrade the exterior look of my Crosswinds 2003 to a Crosswinds Sportivo 2012. This is the reason why I started this Thread... to get some tips / recommendations / referrals... for the following:

    1. Can you recommend a reliable Auto Body Paint Shop that can do a full body repaint (Hilamos / Same Color). Do you have any idea how much will it cost.

    2. Can you recommend a reliable Auto Body Shop that can convert the Front Left and Right Fender as well as the Back Left and Back Fender to accommodate / fit the new Front Bumper and Rear Bumper of the 2012 Sportivo including the headlights and tail lights.

    3. Can you recommend an Auto Parts Shop that sells grills / headlights / side mirror etc etc etc for the 2012 Sportivo. I am sure sa CASA meron sila dun. But definitely it will be more expensive.

I have already seen (In EDSA) some Old Model Crosswinds that had been face lifted to the 2012 Sportivo Look in its Front so I know this is possible. However, I have yet to see a Rear face lift.

Hope someone can help. Specially to those, if ever, has already implemented a 2012 Sportivo Look.

Thanks in advance to those who will provide their inputs.

You can PM TholitzReloaded and Atly of Team Isuzu Philippines, they can help you source all the parts you need for the facelift and give you the step by step instructions on how to do the facelift the right way. Also these guys could also recommend shops that can do this mod for you.

Ako naman upgraded my 2004 XUVi crosswind january this year... I sourced out the parts myself.... Dumadayo pa ako dyan sa Maynila para maghanap nang parts.... And it took me a day to complete and then pinadala ko na dito sa Iloilo by air cargo...
Madali lang naman i DIY ang pag install nang mga parts... madaming nakakalat dito na instructions sa pag kabit.....

Definitely cheaper in Apalit but it's 2nd hand, the catch is parts may have come from stolen vehicles, wrecked vehicles or baklas as they call it. Anyway, it's a matter of personal choice, I don't personally recommend getting from Apalit as we don't want to patronize sikwat or baklas, I'm not saying everything from Apalit but there are some and we don't really know. Just be extra careful if ever you decide to transact in Apalit.

I had a Crosswind 2005 before, I upgraded it to 2010 look, replaced headlamps to projector type, added amber power folding side mirrors, change the front bumper from body color to chrome, changed the lower bumper to 2010 model, added chrome trim to both tail lamps and fog lamps. It definitely costs me some money but I did it in like two years, patiently saving and sourcing parts until it was 90% complete. After that I sold it. I'll post some pictures to serve as inspiration.

You may also want to join Team Isuzu group and learn more from other Crosswind Owners.
Just search "Isuzu Crosswind/Sportivo/Hi-Lander owners" from Facebook, the group conduct an EB every end of the month, meet other team members and share experiences with your ride.

    Drive safe.

Tholitz, at least it's cheaper than getting a new Crosswind that's basically the same vehicle with few aesthetic modifications lang.

*Renzo, I agree, definitely cheaper, personally I wouldn't recommend buying brand new sportivo or crosswind if you have 1.1M+, go get yourself a nice SUV with that money. Buying a 2nd hand Crosswind or Sportivo would be the best option, buying a latter model then upgrading it to appear like the current model would even be better.

Why? basically with the crosswind your buying fuel efficiency and low maintenance which is already in the older model of crosswind / sportivo, even if the crosswind is already 5yrs old that's still the same engine you'll get in the 2012 model, same durability and reliability minus the aesthetics, then why spend so much money? That's only my opinion.

It worked for me, got a 2005 crosswind made it look like 2010, I'm happy after a while I decided to sell it.

Unless IPC do something about the engine, for me getting the 2nd hand Sportivo/Crosswind is the best, but be sure to do your home work when buying 2nd hand, although I must say it's easier to buy 2nd hand crosswind/sportivo considering that it's not at all complicated unlike other cars.

Sir i agree with everything you said about buying a 2nd hand unit instead of spending on an overpriced newer model of the sportivo . I'm also thinking about selling my 2010 sportivo m/t after I have completed paying my loan. and perhaps go for newer models of suv's with the same price of the current sportivo model...I hope future consumers would really think hard before spending their hard earned money on these OLD SCHOOL units. These forums would be a great help for them.and I really hope isuzu will make upgrades on their 2013 sportivo models...or else they would loose a lot of potential buyers in the future!
