    salamat momo sa pakikibahagi ng karanasan mo. yung sakin more than 118K na, July 2001 ko nakuha. siguro by end of the month, more than 120K nako. aside from the radiator and mufflers na nasira, eto pang ibang parts na napalitan ko na,
    95K - clutch plate, pressure plate, pilot bearing, clutch release bearing (city driving kasi and going uphills to antipolo madalas)
    front brake pads (pero ok pa rotor disc ko), rear brake shoes
    power steering hose, 1 pc gasket ng steering gear
    a/c belts, alternator belt

    iniisip ko din baka palitin na center link at torsion bars ko. bakit na recommend ng mekaniko mo na palitan centerlink at torsion bars? dahil ba sa medyo loose na yung steering wheel? medyo may play na kasi yung steering ko, kako baka dahil yun sa center link or torsion bars.

    ganun din sa oil seal. bakit pinalitan? ano symptom para sabihin na palitin na sya?

    mga sir! tanong ko lang po, kasi yung sportivo ng father ko, medyo napansin ko yung air-con patay sindi more or less every 5 seconds. normal po ba ito? kasi nasanay po ako sa corrola namin na pagna-reach na niya yung desired coolness nya saka lang siya mago-off. TIA!

    Baka may problem sa thermostat ng aircon yun... check that the lever is all the way to the left (coolest), then observe.

    Sportivo yun? should still be under warranty.

    RE: Our Crosswind is almost a centenarian! 90,000 kms na siya since September 2004!

    So far, we've had the clutch changed once (at 40k, since then, it's been okay), one or two busted lightbulbs and fuses, and the exhaust rewelded twice... and nothing else.

    The only issues are the broken button on the massage chair control (overuse), loose screws on a headrest monitor and a broken detent (for reverse) on the gearshift, and a few scratches on the body.

    Those 90,000 kms weren't all easy highway kilometers, either... One day's driving of 100 +/- kms is usually about three to four hours of driving, (average of 30-40 km/h) including metro traffic and SLEX potholes.

    Ibang klase sa tibay ang mga AUV, ano?

    sir niky, ang sabi ng casa kailangan daw palaging naka-full yung thermostat. kaya lang napansin ko ganun parin, kahit gabi na o umuulan patay sindi parin!

    guys, i was unable to get hold of a manual for my XUV (2nd hand)...anyway my question is per manual, ano po ba ang recommended oil for it? viscousity etc..malapit na pala kasi akong mag change oil.

    another one...sa experience nyo ano ang pinaka mahusay na brand within the recommended viscousity? thanks a lot in advance.

    No idea about the brand, but a good middle-of-the-road oil would be 15w40. (this is what I usually buy)

    i had my rear oil seal changed when i had my clutch system (plate, cover, pilot and release bearing), tumutulo na kse...and kahit d man tumulo, adviseable na isabay ito pag nagpalit ka ng clutch parts kse kailangan den ibaba yung transmission for the job

    so imo, kung malakas ang leak, palitan na, front and rear yan, yung sa harap ko dati may tumulo naren, suspect ko sa front oil seal, pero oil pan gasket lang pala, ngayon malinis na ang ilalim ng engine bay ko...=)

    mine's using the 4jb1 and a pikup...halos palang ng 4ja1 without the turbo and and its 2.8

    putulin na natin ang clutch at mag automatic na tayo hehehe

    ako rin noon nasunog ko na clutch ko sa baguio palit na rin ako ng assembly dati and then tumigas...

    yung power window ng crosswind maingay pag kahati ng pagbaba parang may malakas na TICK!!! or TOCK! tapos baba na ulit

    nakaka bingi huhuhu

    ano ba yung assembly ng power window ng crosswind? cable ba sya?

    pwede bang sprayan ng wd40 mechanism sa likod? nakaka takot kasi baka bigla nalang bumigay di ko na ma open

    nagkalas nako ng door panel, di ko napansin kung merong cable yung power window mechanism. parang wala e...pero kung cable yun, baka isa-isa napapatid yung metallic thread ng kable, or, baka dumudulas yung gear mechanism nung power window. ang mabuti pa buksan mo na lang yung door paneling... medyo mahirap lang ibalik yung mga plastic na parang malalaking thumbtacks na nasa loob. pagpapawisan ka ng husto :D

    don't use the wd40, kase titigas lalo yung rubber or yung kinakapitan ng window...mas ok daw kung singer oil nalang. i use a silicon spray for my windows, i just re apply once every 3 months or so...

    from the sound of it...either it needs lubricating or malapit na mapatid yung cable (?)...i had the same experience with mine before.

    medyo may play na nga rsnald yung manibela kaya nagpalit na kami center link at tie rod, tas nung inangat may kalog na nga konti. un naman sa oil seal may katas na pakonti konti, malakas tagas pag tumatakbo, kasi may pressure pero pag nakahinto wala halos, kinapa namin nung nakalift ung sasakyan. pag may play na talaga steering wheel sigurado may palitin na, para sure ipalift mo na para ma-check mabuti. nakalimutan ko banggitin na nagpalit na din kami fan belt, pati mga breakpads.

    un nga pala sa clutchfan, instead na magpalit ka kung nagfree-freewheel na pag pinaikot mo ng kamay, pwede un lagyan ng silicon, ginawa yun sa amin gawaan ng aircon nung nagpalinis kami, sa casa kasi pinapapalitan nila, ang mahal. mura nga pala mga parts sa jayson auto supply, importer, sa reynaregente(tama ba spelling)sa binondo,basta karugtong ng abadsantos kung dun ka galing tatawid recto, pati sa olympic auto supply sa araneta, between e.rodriguez at aurora.

    check nyo nga pala ilalim ng mga pinto nyo kasi medyo may kalawang ung sa amin, sa front passenger at rear door. maliit lang naman, sa mga labasan ng tubig(drain) wala naman bara pero may rust na. ang bilis nga kalawang, 4 years pa lang, ung proton auntie ko ten years na no sign pa rin rust, di pa maalaga sa sasakyan.

    may tanung lang ako? napapansin nyo ba na blind spot ung poste ng windshield sa gawi ng driver? masyadong makapal ung poste.

    oo nga ganun tlaga mga xuv, meron din ganun sa kotse, ung vios typ toyota. makapal din ung rear post. kaya sobra blind spot.

    Hi Guys! the shocks of my xto just busted lng.. ok ba yung KYB na shocks?! I canvased here in Cebu and the price is 1,050 each... meron ba fake na KYB shocks? kasi parang masyadong mura yun price nya compare with the stock ones which cost about 3,500 dito.. Any ideas guys?! appreciate ur tips..hehe

    tama kayo about the "A" pillar (yun yata tawag dun), nung bago bago pa nga ako nagmamaneho, ilang beses nako muntik makahagip ng biseklta or sign post sa kalsada dahil blindspot yun.

    thanks momo sa inputs mo about the centerlink. mapatingnan nga yung sakin, madalas pa naman ako malubak. nakalimutan ko idagdag, nagpalit na rin pala ako ng battery nung early 2004. di pa naman totally dead battery ko, pero minsan nako itinirik (ayaw mag-start from parking lot), ang hirap pala magpush-start ng xwind, limang katao nagtutulak, mabigat kasi :D at di mo ma-start sa 1st gear or 2nd gear. 3rd gear ko yata nakuha.

    yung sa clutch ng radiator fan, ang paliwanag sakin nung kakilala ko, centrifugal clutch daw yan, pag ikot ng fan, saka lang sya kakapit dahil naitutulak palabas yung fluid(?) or something. madali nga lang daw ayusin yan kung marunong ka.

    sa makina, wala akong reklamo, matipid at malakas pa rin humatak even after 100K, di ka talaga kakabahan sa byahe (knock on wood). shell diesel ako at ibat ibang lube oil nasubok ko na (petron rev-x trekker, caltex delo, castrol gtx, castrol crd, shell helix, shell helix diesel, isuzu motor oil at kahit nga yung rotella at petron HD na pang jeepney ok pala sa crosswind).

    salamat ulit momo sa mga tips mo lalong-laong na yung locations ng murang bilihan ng parts.... and welcome to our group, the ihcogins (isuzu hilander/crosswind owners na mahilig sa gin, hehehe indeh, owner's group)

    new crosswind owner xt limited so far wla pa nman problem yun lng yung paint di ko gusto yun mga scracthes sabi factor daw kay ipapa paint ko n lng pero okz naman people mover not pang porma!

    Ang galing naman ng thread na to, kasi magagamit ko ang mga info na to for maintaining my Crosswind. Got it last July 2002, pero nearly 56k pa lang ang natakbo.
    Napa-overahaul ko na ang radiator ko twice. First sa casa, and then ala pang 1 year may leak na naman (nagbabawas ang tubig sa reservoir on a weekly basis). Nalala ko 'yong tubig na inilagay from casa ay galing lang sa drum kasi nung pangalawang overhaul na dami nung white residues. Kaya nung second time overhaul na hindi na sa casa at inilagay kung tubig ay Wilkins. Hanggang ngayon di pa bumibigay at malinis pa din tubig.

    Next is nagpalit na ako ng battery after 4 years, although hindi pa bumibigay. Nilipat nga yong batt sa iba naming sasakyan, aba na-start pa rin niya engine, although na stock siya for 4 months hindi nadiskarga.

    Ngayon malapit na akong magpalit ng gulong, I'm looking for a good deal on Goodyear Fortera Triple Tred, baka meron kayong alam 'jan.

    I just acquired my isuzu crosswind xuv october 2006. since i am a family man, i consider reliablility and economy but i forget to ask for negative aspects. any comments? thanks in advance.
