may bumili na yata ng Alterra 4X2 M/T dun sa Isuzu Manila.Dalawa lang ang stock nila dun peo may bumili parin!Baka nainip yan sa Fortuner!

went to the alabang showroom this afternoon to check out the alterra for myself...the showroom was so silent as we were the only ones inside unlike the school enrollment atmosphere of toyotas (i can imagine this: itay:"anak huwag ka na lang mag-aral..mag fortuner na lang tayo"..sa dami ng nagpapareserve..)..

checking out the alterra ..the second row foldable seat is really weird since the padding is thin..plancahan nga talaga kaya seating is diminished to 4, discounting the 3rd row seat of torture, i was thinking sana they just made a feature for child seats or something to add as a special feature kuno ..also the dreaded third row seat is so low and cramped, but im not a fan of third row seats anyway so i didnt care much for it although high tech yung swooping armrests niya..nothing much is changed from the dmax dash and seating position which i find too low..the infamous rear view wasnt so bad but still it would not be far off from a ssangyong design..

this design was done way before the fortuner came, when the auv was starting to mimick suvs, it was to battle the now farm equipment looking everest..but now comes the fortuner that elevated the pickup come suv design kaya naluma itong alterra along with the everest..the big problem now is the pricing which is quite high and amuzing. Comparing it with the fortuner's pricing and looks wala talagang laban....pero isuzu peeps dont lose heart..just give big discounts..ehehehe

well for what it worths.. maganda naman ung moonstone blue nila but yun nga lang... the interior leaves much to be desired..

another i don't like is the oversized Isuzu grill which lumabas parang liit ng headlight nila.. hehehe

ahhhhhhhhh ehem ehem..................... wala bang ibebenta ang Isuzu Phils. na ITEQ engine. Yun na lang bibilhin ko kasama nung tranny. ako na bahala sa ibang components ng drivetrain. isasalpak ko na lang sya sa Jeep ko. mas gusto ko pang tignan yung mini-cruiser ko araw-araw kesa sa Alterra :lol: Nakaka-disappoint talaga yung design ng alterra. Sayang yung makina tsk tsk tsk.

my wife and I dropped by Isuzu Alabang last weekend... Its very much like the D-Max (dejavu) since we have a d-max too :D

I must say the only jewel i can find in the alterra is 3.0li iteq engine!!!!

Others... depends on your taste. The 2nd row is roomy although its really meant for 2. +1 is ok but its only good for short trips. 3rd is for kids, not for adults. Your knees will be upto to you chest level. Going in and out is als arduous. The 5.1 is just gravy, nice for talkative rear passengers hehehe

The wheels are different although from afar it looks like the d-max's wheels. It's too pricey for me, 1.5M will bag me a good looking Fortuner with the juicy crd-i 3 litros!!!
