July 14th, 2009 12:22 PM #1Hello fellow tsikoteers?
Question from your Point of View
1. What is the Ideal Cruising Speed for our Crosswind in which we will use lesser fuel?i.e 70 km/hr -2k rpm, 80km/hr -2.3k rpm and so on.
2. When cruising (NLEX, SLEX, STAR, SCTEX) do you prefer looking on RPM rather than speed?3.5K rpm -130Km/Hr and so on..
Please share your toughts and experience about this...
Thanks and more power!!!!

60kph or whatever speed you can manage at the top gear of your vehicle with the engine just above idle speeds.
Those econo-runs in the past used that speed to get max fuel economy.

60-70 km/h is the best cruising speed for the Crosswind... gets you about 16 km/l. At 80-100, you get 14 km/l.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I would say 60 Kph at the highest gear.
To maximimize FC, the slowest speed at the highest gear w/o lugging the engine. and no A/C.

July 16th, 2009 07:21 PM #8sa experience ko sa expressway mas tipid ako at 90 to 100 km/hr umabot sa 15km/lit... here sa manila below 60 lang and minsan traffic usually 10 km/lit lang ako. and light naman tapak ko rpm not beyond 2k.
Ayos sumabay pa sa Greenbelt 1.
