why cant Isuzu do this...will it cost too much? i mean im pretty sure the crosswind will out sell the innova if it came with a CRDi engine.. i mean the new crosswind is just being certified to be Euro II compliant with a low charge turbo.. i mean a 2.5CRDI isuzu engine has been a avialable in thailand for over 2 years now.its an option on can have if you get the 2.5 CRDi dmax. why cant they just put this engine in the crosswind?and to think the Dmax is still not CRDI.while in thailand the new Dmax,, has VGT also....even the isuzu light trucks in thailand are turbo charge... are we really that behind compared to thailand?

just like what toyota did with their 7K. it came from 3K to 4K to 5K

    now they have the vvti.

Seriously, Isuzu isn't in a good position cash-wise and has limited funds for development. Now that the Crosswind is being sold as a "Chevy" in some markets, though, expect GM to invest a bit in it.

But consider, despite its crudeness, the Crosswind still sells... sometimes, especially for its crudeness... the indestructibility of the ancient 4JA1 is a big selling point for the Crosswind.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Isuzu is not really behind in terms of their engines. There is still the mitsubishi adventure to compete with.

I just don't like it when isuzu boasts that they are the leader in diesel engines...let's not forget how they flunked in their 4jx1 series big time!

    Cost, i would suppose.

I asked a friend who once worked for Isuzu Phils. A suggestion for improvement on the Crosswind was to fit the Fuego's 2.8L engine. Although it's still not CRDi, it's still more powerful. Top brass' reason for not doing so? Additional cost. Plus the market still buys it despite its current engine.

Yeah, I don't think it's right that Isuzu boasts they are the leader in diesel engines with the lineup they currently have. They're quite lucky that the guys with the 'T' badge are having problems with their version of CRDi engines.

isuzu is not a leader in diesel engines, isuzu is a leader in truck engines. since karamihan naman ng truck dito sa Asia eh diesel, kaya siya nakilala ng husto.

eto rin tanong ko sa isip ko, bakit nga ba di nila salpakan ng crdi engine, kahit yung 2.0L but VGT assisted. another question is..bakit di sila gumawa ng 4x4 version. ganda sana kung meron sila. tanda na ng 4ja1, 1988 pa yata lumabas yan, original engine of the isuzu elf.

yung usok, I'd admit, pag medyo high mileage ka na, mausok na talga. di bale, it can easily be remedied with the use of biodiesel. yung mga bago na mausok, malamang kulang lang sa TLC. nung bago pa xwind ko, ok naman emissions nya, di masyado mausok except sa umaga.

on isuzu's standing as the in #1 diesel technology..dito siguro sa pinas, hindi na. but in japan, leading pa rin yata sila. yun nga lang, sabi nung hapon na nakausap ko, talga daw hindi kilala isuzu pagdating sa passenger vehicles. pero sa bus at trucks, and industrial and marine engines, #1 pa rin daw isuzu.

pa. eh ba't nga nila papalitan eh bumebenta naman.

whats preventing Isuzu from putting a 2.5CRDI engine on the new crosswind
