fuel gauge query

gud day mga sirs,my ride is 2001 xto.twice na nangyari sa akin,almost nasa E na ung gauge ko bago ko magpakarga then nagpafull tank ako ang naikarga lang ay almost 30liters lang at full tank na and ung gauge ko reached to almost 3/4full lang.i inspected the refilling hole and its really full na nga.any one has encountered this.anu po kaya culprit?san shop kaya pwede ipacheck up aside from kasa?thanks in advance.

Baka po sira na yung fuel gauge niyo, ganyan din po yung nangyare sa fuego ng dad ko, papalitan niyo po yun, dun po yun ata makikita sa area ng right rear wheels, hindi ko lang po sure. pero basta po banda dun, nasa 600 po ata yung ganun pero hindi po OEM, or baka po madumi lang. Kasi yung winding nung sa sensor nung fuel gauge lumuluwag na po, kaya minsan hindi na talaga siya accurate.

Yup sir, kasi po kunware lage tayo nagpapagas ng 300 pesos or about a quarter sa fuel gauge, madali lumuluwag yung winding dun sa area na yun, kaya po minsan nagloloko na siya, try to clean it first, then kung ganun talaga replace niyo na po, kaya naman po yun i-DIY kasi ganun lang ginawa ng dad ko.

Tignan ko sir sa classmate ko, pero alam ko po dun din yun eh, kasi parehas ATA chasis nun eh, di ko lang po sure ha, pero basta malapit po yun sa lagayan ng fuel. hehe.

if the fuel gauge is working fine then the culprit maybe is the FLOATER assy inside the fuel tank, i dont know the parts name in isuzu crosswind but the function is the same as what i mentioned...IMO you can have it check also.

thanks mga masters sa info! nagfulltank ulit ako kagabi kasi tataas daw diesel by 2pesos.hehe.ganun pa din almost 3/4 lang talaga yung sagad nya and i think yung Empty ko mga 20liters pa yung natitirang laman sa tangke kasi nasa 35liters lang naipakarga ko.kung floater nga culprit mga sirs san kaya maganda ipacheck aside from casa?may idea ba kayo pano ma access yung floater assembly?thanks again!

DIY, on top of the fuel tank (you can easily reach it while you are under the vehicle, pull off the power supply of the floater, using a short positive type screw driver remove the five screws connecting the floater to the tank. Put a marker how it was originally positioned, gently pull up the floating mechanism. More often than not the floater is just misaligned, you can try to fix it if you know something how it works or you may ask someone knowledgeable to do it. Put it back, then reconnect the wire.
