Hi DMAX owners!
Im nearing my 15tkm checkup. How much did it cost you in total? What can I do to minimize cost but not void warranty?
Your feedbacks will be greatly appreciated.

wala ka magawa para ma lessen ang cost ng pms... just ask for discounts sa servicing dealer... n it wudnt hurt naman to spend a litle for ur ride to maintain it.... hindi naman araw2x pnapa PMS
Up ko lang sa mga naka Dmax. Please share the expenses during your 15tkm pms please. I've heard from a tsikoteer that Isuzu Pasig allows bringing in of your own oil, baka may iba pa pong techniques to lessen the cost. Thanks.
Jarhead,
I wouldn't mind bringing my vehicle to the casa for its PMS. Aside from being mandatory because its still under warranty, I get to have everything due checked. Comparing casa service from our suking mekaniko, I think the term "a little spending" does not apply to me thats why im asking of other ways to lessen the cost. I'll see if I can ask a discount from the dealer.
Thanks.
ask ur dealer kug makadala ka ng oil... naka mura nga ang iba but kaso lng monograde oil lng dinadala nila...sayangn naman ng dmax nilagyan lng ng monograde oil... semi electronic kc ang engine ng dmax. i think papayag ang dealer kung change oil lng gawin after ur waranty... kc yan ginagawa ko and every 20k km ko pina pa PMS kc general checkup yun...
recently had my 60k.kms pms at isuzu manila.
their rates and jobs "menu" indicate total price would be 7300-7500. i ended up paying 5575, less an air filter and some items i cant seem to remember. i think a 15k.kms pms will be about 4000 with them, inclusive of parts and materials.
as for bringing your own oil, they now say one has to sign a waiver about that oil (but mine was out of warranty na so that did not bother me). i think din na if you bring your own oil they are also using (i saw mobil and elf products) they will omit the oil cost from your bill.
they seem to have a good rate on mobil products, their delvac.mx cost less than the one i bought from ace hardware. even their grease is mobil at synthetic pa. (abt 700 a tube)
i think you can leave out some jobs on their "menu" but that might affect your warranty.
but out of the 3 isuzu casas i have used in the past. isuzu manila is the one im most satisfied in service and price. but stange parang ka unti lang nag pa service dun. nag pa appointment ako for this 60k.kms ng 10am, before 4pm that day tapos na.
one way is to bring your own oil like ATF, Motor Oil, etc. Maybe your own OEM parts if applicable, if you can source them out directly. Aside from that I can't think of any other way to reduce the cost, well unless you can get a discount for the service. Minor stuff maybe you can DIY it, only the major mechanical services you can avail at the casa.
Jarhead,
Thanks for the reply. WHats amazing is that Isuzu listed down the local oils that they recommend for the DMAX so I dont have to worry about the compatibility. After the warranty, sa labas nalang ako papa-change oil kasi aside from the cheap labor, mas mabilis sila. I'll just follow your suggestion to bring it in casa every major check-up.
Kurt,
Hi Bro! Musta na? Thanks for the tip sa oils. In this case, i might get it from them nalang since mobil is a better brand naman. Salamat din for giving me a rough estimate of a 15tkm pms.
ILD,
Thanks for the reply. I might be doing this nalang after the warranty since I dont wanna be signing waivers.
try the isuzu text. I find the isuzu text helpful. try to register when you go back to the casa. I always inquire via text like how much the 10k pms cost.
what i did in my 15K? is that i crawl up underneath, drained the motor oil, install a new oil filter, fill it up with a new motor oil. check here and there, tighten bolts. and voila, the DMax is up and running again... nakatipid ako sa labor kasi DIY lahat.
Jarhead,
Good point there. How much inaabot ang change oil mo (yung every 5k lang)?
Ian,
Natatakot kasi ako mavoid ang warranty eh.
Cardo,
Thanks for the tip. Will inquire about the isuzutext during my pms.
Dmax owners,
This maybe out of topic but I just want to know the fuel consumption of the 4x2 DMax manual trans. I'm decididing between DMAX LX 4x2 and Hilux 2.5d E model. I think the hilux can do around 9.5 km/l dahil CRDI na yung engine?
My 4x2 AT dmax can do 9.5km/l. I think MT can reach up to 12km/l in city driving. 4JH1 engine is non CRDI yet
my dmax could go around 9-15 mixed na yan from city to hiway driving... not bad for a non crdi engine and 3.0 pa kahit 4x2 and 4x4 look kahit 4x2 lng cya.)
15T km PMS is about 7K if not 9K (sa casa ng Sn Fernando Pamp)....I think you can ask them ok lang ikaw magprovide ng Oil, filters and what ever is needed if you want to save ng kaunti....sir mura na ang less than 10K na pms at 15T km...my frontier used to around 12K+ sa major pms.
on other matters, if I am not going to run the M/T 4x2 ng dmax more than 100kph sa highway, I can get as much as 16km/L of fuel

I think the isuzu has ABS/EBD and 2 airbags. sa hilux no abs and 1 airbag even for the 4x4 3li crdi. please correct me if i'm wrong
isn't the 2.5 crdi d4d the one with fuel pump problem? the same engine in the fortuner 4x2 diesel? not sure tho. But I think there is a 4x2 Hilux with 4X4 stance, but this is the 2.7vvti version.
i can do 13-14 km per liter on the average using BD on my 4X2 M/T Dmax, on a combined city and highway driving. 4JH1-TC isn't CRDi yet.Originally Posted by thebest

The item that cost the most when I have the pickup go in for PM is the engine oil. It needs I think 7 liters! Gamit ko parati is the mobil 1 delvac... Tuwing bibili ako sa goodyear shops I always have a free mobil 1 backpack for the gallon I buy![]()
I need to look for a cheaper brand hehe.
