But when the time comes, at least alam ko na kung san ako pupunta in cases like these.

I replace mine with gas shocks. I guy told me na ok daw gas if heavy loading, di sya matagtag pag mabigat. ung oil filled naman di matagtag pag wala load but matagtag kung loaded. correct me guys if wrong ung Info.
regarding the inverted leaf spring, ung kakilala ko pick-up ung pina invert nya. pero ung panakamaliit na leaf spring lng. so if apat ung leaf spring mo. isa lng naka-invert ung nasa bottom and smallest, the rest orig position. ok naman daw, and siguro kung isa lng di naman siguro madaling mabali un. pero di ko parin Muna gagawin. pinag-aaralan ko pa.
xto oem shocks is gas already sa likod from kayaba (KYB)Originally Posted by Silverwrench

left hand drive have inverted last leaf design, orig ito from Japan. There's a lot of these Suzuki's running around so it's easy to spot them.
Isa pang option is the Gas-A-Just shock refill para sa shock.
So which one is the best replacement shock?
I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks.![]()
Do the KYB Gas-A-Just shocks really make a difference sa smoothness ng ride?
I own a 2003 Isuzu Crosswind XUV. Super tagtag sa likod. Current tire pressure is 30psi sa front and 34psi sa rear. I called Isuzu and they told me na 2005 up models lang daw ang may flex ride suspension at oil-filled shock absorbers pa ang nakalagay sa 2003 model. They also told me na hindi parin magiging smooth and ride ko kahit palitan ng gas-filled shocks, kahit monotube raw i.e. KYB Gas-A-Just kasi useless pag hindi palitan ang leafsprings ko. If the leafsprings are stiff, useless magswitch to gas-filled shocks.
Is this true? Anyone who can confirm this?
Thank you very much.
Yeah, I've got Rancho 9000 (9-way) shocks, and it's very hard to dial the ride right.
A proper suspension balance means that your tire pressure, spring stiffness and shock damping should all match perfectly... and since then don't match at all on the Crosswind as stock, getting them to approximately the right position is an exercise in futility.
Reverse one spring, but leave in snubbers (or whatever the heck they're called) so that it still supports the extra weight when you're carrying heavy loads. But you'll need to upgrade shocks. The stock shocks suck, no two ways about it.
A low tire pressure won't help, either. Too little pressure and it'll just accentuate the bounciness... I figure 30-32 should be just about right.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Thanks for the insight niky.
Are there any KYB dealers in Cebu na merong KYB Gas-A-Just shocks for a 2003 Crosswind?
Old Man Emu shocks magkano kaya? Any dealers in Cebu?
Just got back from banawe, have an isuzu xuvi 2003, changed the rear shocks becuz the stock ones were leaking. Got the KYB gas shock absorbers (they cost me 1,400 each). Also got the rear lifted using hangers which cost me 1800 for both including labor. Just so i dont forget (and because no one here really puts up the price) changed my front tires at michelin the fort, they cost 5400 each. Changed my alarm din in banawe which cost 2000 (the stock alarm is loud, annoying and rattles my wife everytime i set it on). The only thing i think that helped with making the ride smoother was i had nitrogen placed in my tires instead of air at michelin. It costs 100 per tire and i can go back if ever the tire gets soft for free. There they recommended all tires at 30psi, and it myt be psychological but i feel there is a slight improvement. Got HIDs din na china lang, they cost me 5k for both, its been about 2 years na and so far so good.
reviving this thread..
guys, baka meron gustong magpost ng updates or modifications ng crosswind suspensions nyo jan?
pictures sana kung meron.. :D
Thanks!
