Big horn

Hi! I'm new here. I found this site while searching for materials regarding my car.

I just recently bought an Isuzu Big Horn with a 4jx1 engine been using it for 2 months already. Is there any maintenance that I should do with the car. I already have an oil change, gear oil change, change the fan belts. Do I need to check on the timing belt? My milage is already 119,402 kms. It seems to emit black smoke when I'm accelerating but alfter that no more smoke. Is this ok? Is there a place where I could have my car checked here in the metro besides casa. Hoping for some help....

Thanks for the fast response. Where do you think I could easily find parts for Big horn? Can you recommend a mechanic or shop where they are expert in these type of cars?

Try dropping by the Trooper threads in the diesel forum. There are also many recommended shops in the Workshop forum.

For parts, Walco in Banawe usually has them in stock.

you can also try Jayson's Auto Supply in Binondo for parts.

i'm not sure if this engine uses a timing belt but with that mileage it's best to have it check.
