    The main reason for my purchase of a 4X4 Alterra;

The price increment was a mere 100,000.00, and it is the only model with limited slip differential.

I live in farm country and travel on back roads quite a lot, so a limited slip differential was a "must-have" for me.

    Ciao!

Thanks Uncle Nick for the reply.
    I already acquired a 2nd hand alterra, its a 2012 4x2 AT.
Is there a chance for the club to be active again?

    Hi Sir Nick!

I'm a newbie here. I've been learning a lot from your posts. My plan is to acquire a used SUV model 2013 or 2014. Right now, i'm leaning towards Alterra or Monty as a second option.

I've found an offer involving Alterra Cruiser X, manual tranny, 4x2, ran just above 35K, and initially amounts to 700K. My questions are:

    1. Is the unit worth the price?
    2. What should I do to make sure that I am not buying a "trojan horse"? Is it not offensive for me to ask the owner to prove the worth of the unit by bringing it to a service center with my presence?
    3. How about few few pieces of advise between monty and alty?

Sorry for giving you additional homework.

    Thanks and regards.

hi mga boss! ask ko lang kung saan ok magpaservice para magpaayos ng vlutch kasi yung isuzu makati di maayos ayos ung clutch namin to think ever since we bought our alterra from isuzu makati sila na nagservice sa amin.

super disappointed na kasi kami sa kanila kasi up to now di nila maayos. so we're looking for a new casa to fix our clutch at kung OK ang service nila baka dun na kami mag pa PMS. we are eyeing ISUZU ALABANG sana kaso we don't know anyone from that casa.

hope to get feedback/suggestions asap kasi I'm planning na ipaayos si terry this long weekend.

    thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm an owner of 2013 Alterra and planning to install roof rack but seems my Alterra model did not have the cross bar installed. I check with Isuzu Alabang and they said there's no available roof rack cross bar for alterra anymore. Any one knows where can I buy cross bar for the roof rack? thanks

Check also the mileage and service record, saken nakuha ko last January MT 4X2 07model for 480k with 90K mileage fresh naman inside and out.

Btw, mukhang fair enough ang price sa fresh and in top condition na 4X4 AT

The Alterra may be old, but if properly maintained, it is still reliable. Maintenance parts are also abundant. I suggest be a member of the Isuzu Alterra Club Phils, you can learn more from there, plus, you'll be surprised of the group's camaraderie and support.

thank you po sa reply Sir, I am really torn between the crosswind xt/xti and the alterra. Hoping you could share further inputs to help me decide sir. Pero sure naman ako na panalo kung ano man mapili ko sa dalawa kasi Isuzu. thanks a lot po. God bless.

Between the two po, Alterra is the way to go. Driving dynamics, comfort and power, napakalayo ng Alterra sa Crosswind. I owned both, and already let go of the Crosswind . Lamang lang ng Crosswind xti is mas mura ang gulong. I suggest po, that you test drive both and see for yourself
