hi guys, im so confuse about which alternator to buy. my budget is only about 8k and my mechanic tell me my option are buy a replacement isuzu alternator or buy a korean orig alternator.

replacement alternator are exactly same as the orig but not as reliable as the orig. coz its only recondition while the korean he say are all original made from korea and its as reliable as the genuine but it has only 2 magic eye which the isuzu alternator has 3

so do i sacrifice one sensor to get the reliability or risk the reliability go for the replacement?

i think its from manila lang yun may tatak na certified daw sila pero base on experience hindi magtagal like the most is 2 years. kasi sami ng mechanic pagreplacement daw yun component gagamitin ay mostly generic diode daw hindi factory specs and quality

kung 2 years ang itatagal at di reliable, medyo mangingilag ka nga pakawalan ang perang pinaghirapan natin....mabuti sana kung ang warranty ay 3 years....Kung sa Made in Korea naman, ano naman ang isang connection na mawawala?

pero kung marecondition/marepair yung replacement nya after two years, baka pwede na din...

ang hirap naman nyan.....nasa desisyon mo na yan bro....

6 months lang lahat warranty, right now im using mitsubishi pajero alternator kasi yun mechanic ko sabi i need bigger alternator for my sounds setup kaya lang na wala yung fuel pump sensor. depend naman sa damage mostly after 2 years ic ang sira kaso mine now yung sira ay misalign yun main post sa alternator palagi magleak yun oil, ubos na pero ko sa ka change oil seal. halos every month palit. mura ang rubber seal kaso ang labor hindi.

kaya im asking you guys if your at my situation anong bibiliin nyo, this is sort of a survey nalang

o sige doon na ako sa replacement...

pero kung makapagtyaga ka, marami mahusay dito sa tsikot...wait ka lang kung ano maibigay nilang better advice.....

Pwede ka din magtingin sa Ace hardware ung sa ground floor ng sm makati. May catalogue sila ng alternator para sa lahat ng sasakyan mo and then pwede ka pumili kung ilang Amp ung kailangan mo. Kaya ung 8k mo pasok sa budget.

[SIZE=4]greetings to everyone! since the topic is on alternators, may i know if someone here inthis forum who had repaired the "konya" of their alternator (for diesel engines)? may problem kasi ang idling ng hilander ko... according to my suking mechanic, 'yan daw yun alternator part para sa suction function... narerepair daw kasi ang "konya" through machine shops... any idea sirs... My question to those who have alternator problems is what is wrong with your old alternator? From my experience, alternators can be repaired. Three basic problems cause charging failures one is bearing, second is oil seals and third is IC. Actually there is a fourth but its only negligence and that is the drive belts.

For what you know what your buying whether recon or "brand new replacement" comes from old alternators that are cleaned, reconditioned, transplanted, rewind.
Lets learn to be practical.
But I can also be wrong!

yung vacuum pump yan.. minsan na sisira yung pinaka spline na nagdadala nung pump rotor. at minsan yung housing at nasisira at may marks na nung pump. need nyan ng reface or replace ng buong pump.

na rerepair ang alternator.. wala naman problema kung rewinded eh basta magandang klase yung coil na ginamit.. (pero madalas medyo mahina na ang rating pag rewinded na) madalas na problema yung diodes nyan lumuluwag yung solder.. kailangan lang i-solder ulet.

thanks guys, sa akin naman ang problem ng alternator ko leak yun oil seal kaso the main problem ay gastado na yung post na main bar sa alternator hindi na daw maayos sa machine shop. ok pa naman yun charging at ic malakas pa magcharge.

So let me clear this most of the advise is to go for bigger alternator maski na hindi for isuzu?

^halos same area tayo at nagkaproblema din ako dati sa alternator. I think walang matino jan nagrerepair ng alternator kasi naghanap din ako dati pero hindi maganda trabaho sa experience ko

so i had mine repaired and After a month or two bumalik ang problema dahil hindi quality ang gawa so dumayo na lang ako kanila yock's auto electrical repair shop sa qc and balik bago uli performance nya

Hassle lang talaga ang pagpunta pero worth it kasi may pangalan na tapos kumpleto pa ang gamit. at jan din dinadala ng mga casa mga alternator repair needs nila kaya very knowledgeable sila
