Expect other brands to do the same. I think when tue dust has settled, isuzu will still turn out cheaper and with a better value prop.
The 1.9 will be arriving next year pa daw.
Just saw a post sa fb, 2.5 mux vs 2.5 fortuner (old version), mukhang nakikipagkarera si fortuner kasi nagovertake bigla sa shoulder.. Then nung nagkaron na ng long stretch, saka humataw si mux at nagovertake sa fortuner. His gps showed na nag160kph sya. So i guess di naman underpowered kahit 2.5L na version? Hehe!

Its far from underpowered. Kungnunderpowered pati yan, it wont give good fuel economy. Most I got with my 2.5 was 18kpl.

Its an environmental attachment that requires maintenance. Ideal for vehickes who travel long stretches. For stop and go traffic, sakit sa ulo.
Still can't get my head unit to read files off a USB drive. Placed a single MP3 file on a Kingston 8GB. Hindi nadedetect.
Oo nga sir eh. Kaya nagtataka lang ako dun sa mga nagsasabi na underpowered or mahina hatak.. 😀

Those people are basing everything on paper. A good measure I always refer to are 0 to 60 and 0 to 100 times. The 2.5 mux and the 2.4 fortuner sprints to 100 at 13 secs. Yung blue power 3.0 is at 11 seconds same with the montero.
Lazy acceleration lang talaga ang isuzu. Salpakan mo ng throttle controller to cure that.
a more accurate measure, kahit purely based on paper, is the power-to-weight ratio. most people kasi look only at the power figure.
di naman masamang tumingin ng figures sa paper. those are declared by the manufacturers eh. kaso minsan incomplete yung picture na nakikita natin, kaya we arrive at the wrong conclusion.
