Got a chance to see the 3.0 MU-X earlier along QC avenue. All I can say is wow!
Here are some of my observations regarding sa interior:
- the gauges light up whenever the engine is running. I think it's optitron?
- when I pressed the button of the shifter, may lumitaw na 'shift to P' sa digital display ng instrument panel, even when the engine's off.
- it has a rear A/C button behind the steering wheel
- it has a total of 12 cupholders
- it has 3 headrests in the 2nd row seats
- it has flat folding 3rd row seats with just right amount of space for my 5'10 frame, though wala syang utility box sa likod. It also has grip handles in both sides ng 3rd row windows, just like the Alterra.
- door side panels look good but there's one thing: the access handles are not in chrome. They come in silver plastics that somehow felt brittle whenever I get a grip of them. Though I think it can be remedified. Diba same lang naman ata ang access handles ng MU-X and TB? Then DIY it is.
Overall, I like this vehicle. I can expect the engine to be torquey, efficient and responsive.
Well, until someday. ;)
The optitron I love. It's auto illumination is very efficient.
The 3rd row seats don't fold flat. Baka may installed utility box lang sa likod kaya akala mo flat folding.
That image of shift to P, mangyayari yan whenever you turn on the car and the lever is not in Park position. Its a safety feature. Car won't start unless you put it in P.
The Mux is a reliable, daily beater. No pretentions. People buy it and use it as a utility truck, and not as a fashion statement. It will bring you to point B safely, comfortably...no fuss.
Glad you liked the mu-X as well. Sana yung iba din kilalanin nila yung features bago tanggalin sa choices dahil lang sa 'anemic' engine figures.
Yes, nakakatuwa yung backlighting ng gauge, may ambient light sensor so it adjusts when you enter a darker or brighter place.![]()
Sana maglabas sila ng facelift model ng MU-X. Para makapag facelift na din hihi
Well, the 3rd row seats kasi is similar to the Montero's, except that it doesn't have the utility box behind and it doesn't fold to the side too, unlike the Fortuner. The auto illumination must be unique for the MU-X. It's interesting to see. And regarding the 'shift to P' image, that's what I've seen kanina eh when I pressed the button on the shifter, even when it's on P already and the engine wasn't running.
Sa door side panels, I wished na sana chrome na lang ang access handles for ensured durability pero may remedy naman para dun.
What's really to like about this rig is that it's not as common or popular as it's top competitors. For me, that's one advantage of this MU-X. At least, hindi siya nakakasawang tingnan sa mga daan.
Just my 2 cents. ;)
For sure, mas naging patok itong MU-X if it already came with the 3.0 VGS since it's introduction in this country. To be honest, naging interested lang ako nung nalaman kong magkaka-3.0 na ito, hehehe. Good buy for it's price.
Regarding the backlighting/optitron, I think it's really unique for an Isuzu, unless meron din ang D-Max at Alterra dati. Very convenient din kasi ito. Meron din ba ang LS-M variants nito? Ang alam ko kasi sa LS-A variants lang.![]()
Ako man, still waiting for my bluey. Tapos, SA just invited me to the launching of the Mu-x and Dmax 3.0 in cebu this Monday. Sana lang talaga this month na ma release yung unit Ko.
