Guys good morning. Newbie here and I am torn between 3.0 na MUX AT at yung outgoing model ng Fortuner. Nantest drive ko yunh 2.5 AT ng MU X at maganda ang ride pero parang nabibitin ako sa hatak. Any inputs will help. Salamat
Sino na nagpalit ng gulong dito? Planning to change my rims to 20x9. Wala kayang sayad ang 275/55/R20 na gulong?
Andaming MU-X na dumaan sa cemetery na binisita ko kahapon.
Btw, sir Djerms, I asked a question to you regarding the 2.5 MU-X pero di nyo pa po sinasagot. Backread na lang po for the question. I just like to hear some inputs from you.
Thanks in advance
Sorry had to check every page. As i've said, the mux is more driveable having a flatter torque curve. The 370nm strada vgt will peak past 3k rpm then immediately goes down while the mux peaks at an early 1.8k rpm then will continue up to 2.8k rpm (it goes down to around 290nm torque past 3k rpm which is still a lot) This is very good as it gives you the 320nm at a wide rpm band. Eto yung sinasabi nila na it feels more powerful versus the paper specs.
So to answer your question, yes the mux is more responsive at low rpm, actually up to 3.5krpm.
Yes the vgt strada and turbo lag is really felt. Power kicks in late in the rpm band.
By the way, first hand experience and observations ito ha. I owned a Strada Glx-V and found it really shitty to drive down low rpm (then the power will aggressively kick in.....too late after you realized its dangerous to overtake already). Its a good thing I got rid of that crappy, stalling, smoke belching piece of dung (sorry naalala ko lang ownership ko). Now we also had a 3.2 Montero non vgt and that's a different story. Nice to drive.

My SA called me 10 a.m kanina umaga he told me my unit is already available i asked him if its in the casa already and if it is can i take a look then he told me absolutely i can check it out anytime so i went there immediately just 15 mins i was at the casa because i was so excited but when i reached the casa the on duty personnel walked me towards their open air back yard and there to my surprise my unit sitting under the sun together with so many brand new units dusty and muddy wheels na awa ako sa unit ko i told the guard on duty since when my unit arrived there he wasnt sure but told me maybe 5 days ago daw. Is it normal for dealerships to put there brand new cars outside in open air rain or shine? I can't wait for tomorrow tuloy to save her.
Rain / Shine not an issue, worse is that maputik na yung fenders and milage is on the high side of double digit. That's the bad side of IPC unlike others , never pa ako naka experience ng maybahid na ng putik ang fender or milage beyond single digit. IPC make's you a 2nd hand buyer.
Its normal bro. Even other car brands do that. Whats important is you check upon delivery of unit. Make sure there are no paint imperfections. Dont get too excited. Inspect every panel at an angle. Watch out for deep irrepairable scratches or dents. Its your right not to accept if your not contented with appearance of the unit.
As what ive told you guys when i test drove the 2.5 LSA i wasn't really expecting how ample the power was kc nga in what ive read in the papers it did not attract me but when i drove it sa actual it was different surprised talaga ako. I also test drove the everest trend 2.2 AT and i am an owner of an 2005 MT everest which im still driving right now.
Guys newbie here. Can we have a comparo on 2.5 vs 3.0 LS-A 4X2? im torn between both..
