July 31st, 2017 04:29 PM #10093Our mux pulls toward the right when i let go of the steering wheel. I don't let go of the steering wheel normally. i just tested it to make sure i dont have any alignment problems because while driving at skyway last week it felt like the wind is pushing against the right side, it was during the bad weather last week and there were gusts of wind.
-When i keep the steering wheel centered, And going straight.
- i let go of the steering wheel and it still goes straight.
- it will keep going straight until there is a small movement on the steering wheel. It is barely noticable but it will move a little bit to the right.
-then the car will start pulling away to the right.
*it will only start pulling when the steering wheel moves a bit to the right.
I had all the tires balanced, alignment was ok, and the chamber was adjusted. Tire pressure is the same for all tires 32.5
But still the same results.
Should i be worried? It does not happen when i have my hands on the steering wheel. even if i just use a finger to keep the steering wheel centered it will go straight.
Ganito ba talaga ang steering natin na sobra slight bump will cause it to move on its own?
Nag order din pala ako ng nudge bar and rear bumper. Will the casa void the warranty ng suspension/steering if i install it? Wala naman magagalaw sa parts but it will add some weight.
Sorry if may mga mali ako na terms.
This is a 2 month old unit with 2500km sa odo.
Thanks.

July 31st, 2017 04:48 PM #10094Hi sir. The same happened to my unit. I've read din sa ibang sites na may ganitong issue nga na naeexperience yung mga owners. I had it checked sa casa. I asked my SA kung ano problem, kung wala lang ba talaga sa alignment, and he mentioned something about sa isang part na wala ang mux kaya daw nagiging ganon. Tapos he pointed to a crosswind and he said na yung part na yun available sa crosswind. I really cant remember exactly kung ano. I'll ask my SA about it..But naayos naman nila yung issue.

August 1st, 2017 11:14 AM #10096Sa manila sir.. Then roadtest uli to check kung naayos na.
Something to do with the wheel caster daw ang problem according to my SA. Yun daw kasi yung sinabi sa kanya ng mechanic na nagayos.

August 2nd, 2017 03:55 AM #10100Hmm parang some sort of alignment din. Based dito:
Wheel Alignment Explained - What is camber, caster and toe? - Yospeed
>>>>>>.
CASTER
Caster is a bit harder to conceptualize, but it’s defined as the angle created by the steerings pivot point from the front to back of the vehicle. Caster is positive if the line is angled forward, and negative if backward.
Typically, positive caster will make the vehicle more stable at high speeds, and will increase tire lean when cornering. This can also increase steering effort as well.
Most road vehicles have what is called cross-caster. Cross castered vehicles have slightly different caster and camber, which cause it to drift slightly to the right while rolling. This is a safety feature so that un-manned vehicles or drivers who lose steering control will drift toward the side of the road instead of into oncoming traffic.
>>>>>>>>
I tried to test using my lancer and it also pulls to the right on the same road. Mas prominent lang sa mux. I think due din to sa gradient nung daan.
Kanina sa parking nag try ako. Assuming na mas flat surface ang parking spaces. Diretso naman.
I will still have it checked next PMS pero nabawasan na worry ko.
Dito pala nasagot na din "feri" meaning. Sedan nga. hehe
What's a Ferio?
