Nope. Considering its predecessor (4x2 LT with a 2.5L 4JA1) only having 81hp (?), the shift to a 109hp 4JK1-TC engine would be (more than) adequate.

Heck, I don't think Isuzu is even trying to be competitive at all! They have this excellent product that is supposedly selling so strong in other markets that they were not able to meet demand here. And when they are finally able to, they make it so mediocre that it ends up at the bottom. Not to mention that it's twin from an ended relationship turned out to be an excellent product...

Tanong ko lang. Kasali ba ang Electronic Stability Control (ESC) sa bagong DMAX?

nakalusot si DMax 2012 ko...will try to keep it for good. Balak ko sana pag lumabas ang bagong Dmax na may Variable Geometry Turbo ay i-trade in ko kahit 1 year pa lang...di bale na...same engine lang naman...baka mas matipid pa sa krudo ang lumang Dmax since smaller and lighter sya....epic failure for IPC. But who knows, after 3 years, ilabas nila dito sa "Pinas ang pikamimithi ng die hard Isuzu costumers..

di po pwede ang backing camera and gps sa "all new dmax" kasi ung audio system nito ay hindi multi media system - walang touch enabled screen... based dun sa pics na pinakita ng isuzu website, ung audio system ng new dmax ay parang ordinayong car stereo lang... cd player lang po... unlike dun sa outgoing model na dmax - dvd player, sd card reader, touch enabled screen, etc... i still go with the old dmax... especially ung latest (2012, 2013)

yon lang yon disappointment natin mga isuzu dmax fan. we did not expect that same old engine will be put in higher models. unlike sa 4x2 LT model na newer engine na. plus the basic accessories unlike the previous LS models. But still old dmax is worth keeping for. let's wait and see for the same model with new engine in how many years time.

Di kaya mangyari tulad ng current facelift na Fortuner? Nung unang labas 102hp 2.5D4D, tapus after a few months tsaka lumabas ang VNT equipped 2.5D4D.
