    2013 4x4 Dual-Cab of the Year sa Australia (3.0-litre)
2013 4x4 Pickup of the Year sa UK (2.5-litre twin-turbo)
2013 4x4 Pickup of the Year sa Germany (2.5-litre twin-turbo)

    Cheers!

In fact, the 4x4 version kinain niya lahat ng toughest 4x4 pickups sa Australia (and in the UK, and the place where the diesel engine originated, Germany) for the best pickup of the year award, beating the vaunted Ford Ranger, the king-of-sales Toyota Hilux, Mazda BT-50, the new Holden Colorado (Chevrolet Colorado) and new Volkswagen Amarok.

Not only that it bested all pickups present in the 4x4 shootout by 4WD Action Australia, it was also the most fuel efficient of them all hehe ;)

The "other" new D-max, which is the Euro-issue D-max with the 2.5-litre twin-turbo 4JK1-TCK engine, won in a separate comparo in the UK, and in Germany for 2013 under the influential Auto Bild Magazine ;) ....This is now the nth time that the D-max has won pickup of the year awards in Europe - way back in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for 3 consecutive years, the previous D-max "hood-scoop" 3.0 iTEQ VGS Turbo did it in Austria in the AllRadChampions 4x4 comparo.

To give you an idea, our stock dmax , with 16incher rims, has a Positive offset of 38mm(+38). Almost all stock rims of any brand has positive offset. I am using nitto terra grappler 265x70x16 all terrain tires and its just inside the fender. Halos pantay na. Ive tried the Black rhino rims, 17x9 with -12mm offset, with 265x65x17 nitto tires, at ang resulta? Sayad sa mudguard, the portion which is closer to the rear. I think the largest tire u can use without changing anything that is, lifting, removing of the mudgyards, is 265x70x16, given that u will be using the stock rims or equivalent. If you shall use afternarket rims, stay away from rims that has negative offsets, that is if u dont want too much pop out about 2 inches or more. Also most rims that is 17incher has 9in width, so if u want onlt about 1 inch popping out the fender, 8in width will do(can be found on 16in rims). I think 16x8in rims with positive 25mm to 30mm offset will give you measurwments that u want.

Looks interesting! At least Isuzu Phil can quickly release the base models unlike the Ranger and Hilux.

Finally a guard frame bet. the cab and bed. Still no cargo hook on the sides (external) of the bed.

YUP chief, get the Chevy Colorado 2.8-litre if you want it really bad ;)

For 2014 model, kailangan ni Colorado na mag-steroid up pa from 180 hp, 475 Nm to those figures you mentioned kasi sabi ng mga offroad reviewers sa Australia malamya daw ang low-end power na talo pa ng bagong D-max 3.0-litre na 180 hp, 380 Nm lang sa kargahan at GVM tapos may akyatan at sa fuel efficiency hehe ....

....Baka sakaling (pero tiyak yan ;) ) maganda na low-end rpm pull at mas responsive na from the get-go ang 2014 Colorado ;)

    Goodluck!

Hi sir, just go for the car (in this case, a pickup) where your heart belongs to more than anything else....

This is what i always do in buying things, more than the cerebral reasoning - go for what you really like then improve or modify the things where you want your car to enhance at according to your likeness.... It is much easier when you do it with your heart ;)

I concur a million times sir.hehehe..mahirap ung nabili mo na tapos hindi naman pala un ang gusto mo. Magsisisi ka lng. Just a tip, read a lot of forums, reviews and comments regarding ur chosen pickup and decide from there. Also dont rely on spec sheets that boasts amazing numbers, hehe also put on ur checklist the availability of parts, cost of maintenance, etc. Sometimes when owning a vehicle, just looking everywhere for that part of ur pickup and ends up to nothing, will surely give u a lot of headaches and will tell urself, sana un na lng ung binili kong pickup.hehe ang daming piyesa. Hehe

Well, what i would really want to get if not the pickup would be the fj or the subaru forester turbo. Test driven the forester lastweek, id prefer droving the forester on a daily basis rather than my moms lc200.. Super tulin din forester ah for a 2.0.

The Isuzu D-max 2.5 TD Intercooler (single VGS Turbo, rated at 136 hp with 320 Nm from 1400-2400 rpm) is the 2013 Borneo Safari Pickup of the Year.... In summary, Borneo straddles the east of Malaysia, Brunei, and parts of Indonesia's Kalimantan region.

See how amongst other vehicles that participated in this grueling several days of hardcore off-roading, only the two (2) bone-stock engine yet raised-up D-max were the only ones that came out unscathed and worry-free ;)

Isuzu to start domestic assembly of new D-Max | The Manila Times Online

ISUZU Phils. Corp. (IPC) last week announced it would start manufacturing the latest D-Max in its plant at the Laguna Technopark in Biņan, where the previous D-Max model was also built.
Joseph Bautista, IPC assistant division head for sales, said that the company has started the multi-line system for vehicle assembly since December 4 in preparation for the new D-Max. According to him, the multi-line system is a P100-million investment for IPC and will not only cater to the new pickup model but also for the assembly of other vehicles.
Bautista said that with the recent upgrade, IPC would be able to produce 4,000 units to 5,000 units of the new D-Max annually, depending on market demand. The IPC executive noted that the decade-old version of the previous D-Max was also a completely knock-down unit like the Isuzu Crosswind and Alterra.
All three models are built at Isuzu’s local plant.
Bautista added that IPC is optimistic it can secure 20 percent to 25 percent of the local pickup segment in 2014, the first full year that the D-Max will be sold.
“We started late this year as we launched the new D-Max during the last quarter. There was also a slowdown in sales, which can be related to Typhoon Yolanda,” Bautista said.

    Bryan
"The torque quoted for this engine may look a little sad compared to the competion, Although isuzu dyno these engines the same way as there truck range. This means the engine is put on the dyno with all auxillery drive belts and accessories being driven under load. So to quote a 130kw 380nm figure this is what is left at the fly wheel unlike other manufactures who quote unloaded figures."

    Cheers!
