2000 Isuzu Fuego LS 4x2 Concerns

Hello mga sir.. help naman po sana sa following issues..

1. Nagpalit po ako ng tyres -- Dueler a/t265 235/75/r15 , had it lifted (torsion adjust sa harap and inserted spacer sa likod)

a. pano po ma-solve ang matagtag na ride? para po kasing lagi nalang kinakalog. gusto ko sana lumambot coz may long drive soon.


2. Purchased the pick-up a week ago. it already had on it a simota air cleaner and naka-headers narin.

a. is it advisable?
b. how will the performane of the engine be affected? (i have nothing to compare it with)
c. fuel consumption?


3. Electrical issues

a. while running namamatay ang mga instruments ko then mabubuhay ulit. (radio, dash dials and humihina rin headlight) in short parang electrical failure. i had it checked and sabi sakin maluwag lang daw ang belt ng alternator. sinikipan nila and during the same day na nagawa d naman sinumpong. pero last night nagkakaganon na naman. ano kayang problema?

265 or 235? 265 might be too wide, depending on the rim width. It should be at least 7.5-8x15 if to use these wide tires.

a. pano po ma-solve ang matagtag na ride? para po kasing lagi nalang kinakalog. gusto ko sana lumambot coz may long drive soon. Well, what others normally do is to use Heavy Duty Suspension System BUT with Comfort Settings. Old Man Emu or Rancho comes to mind. Bilstein may have this too. But mind you, these won't be cheap. Easily around P50k.

a. is it advisable? Not really. These are commonly seen on petrol-fed engines like passenger cars, not on trucks that run on diesel.
b. how will the performance of the engine be affected? (i have nothing to compare it with) Well, comparing them to passenger cars equipped with this "upgrade", it's suppose to increase "acceleration power".... performance in general.
c. fuel consumption? Should (not sure; no data) increase fuel consumption a bit vs. stock air cleaner/headers.


3. Electrical issues

May be a case of a faulty alternator or voltage regulator. Best to have it check (again) by a trusted and reliable electrician. If non, Wizzard would be a good alternative. Make sure you address this issue as soon as possible for this may also cause added stress to your battery --- shortening it's life.

The stiffness of the ride may be due to adustment you did to the torsion bar to accomodate your wheels. Tama si Benzmizer a thorough check of the harness sockets, fuses, relay and alternator especially the carbon brush and oil seal of the alternator.
