January 20th, 2004 09:17 PM #4I realized that the seat belt pads were helpful when I had to take a seven-hour ride to the North with somebody. I sat on the right front (passenger) seat. Without the pad, masakit sa upper torso. So, when I got back to Manila, I bought a couple of them for my own car.
However, like happy_gilmore and Ungas, naaasar ako kasi hindi bumabalik nang husto ang seatbelt sa retractor kapag nakapad siya. So, after about a year, tinanggal ko rin 'yung pads. But I still keep them handy since I intend to use them specifically for those long rides, particularly if I will be driving.

For me naman, kabibili ko lang ng pads for both my rides. Sikip kasi ng belts, so rub ng rub against my right nips yung belt. Baktong tuloy ako after a while. :speechles
Hassle nga yung di pag-retract ng belts, pero small inconvenience na siya, compared to the comfort it provides.
Got mine at Handyman Galleria.

another purpose for these seatbelt pads is to prevent your barong/long sleeves/polo & t-shirts from getting wrinkled.

January 22nd, 2004 05:24 PM #9A relative of mine were involve in a head-on collission in pangasinan on their way to baguio on their '03 CRV just recently, and i saw the driver a his front passenger got some kind of seatbelt burn on their chest pababa... siguro kung may pads baka hindi grabe yung burn nila sa body created by the seatbelt during the collission.
