    wat type of paint po pwedeng gamitin if i wnt to paint my dashboard ng red such as this one?pwede ba ung spray paint na nabibili sa hardwares?o yung pintura talaga?my steering wheel, shift knob, pedals and handbreaks are all detailed with red na kasi so i guess mas ok rin siguro if ill paint my dashboard with red na rin..oto ko po is lancer '97 GL with black dashboard..i need your advices mga bosing..tnx!=)

    I think you would need vinyl paint for that, pero I'm not sure. Let's wait for the other's opinion/experience as well. Good luck on the project!

    nice thread, gusto ko rin paint ang dashboard ko... vinyl paint nga ba magandang gamitin? saan ba pwedeng bilhin yan?

    sure!bakit hinde?!ngcocollect pa ko actually ng mga advices sa mga auto gurus natin from tsikot.com..ill just post my finished product as soon as m done.=)

    alam ko may vinyl paint nga. may nakita ako sa net ok yung kinalabasan, though black lang yung color nung nakita ko.

    it's a special type of paint that is actually more like a dye. the vinyl also has to be prepped a certain way because it's more porous and textured. better leave this job to a professional interior shop.

    my opinions lang po mga sir...just correct me if i am wrong...
    if one would look closely at the pics, the only ones that are painted are he plastic trims, not the vinyl surface. for this, you can actually disassemble the said parts and prep them properly...sand(maybe wet sanding), wash/clean thoroughly, dry, apply some plastic primer(w/c is available in our local hardwares), then thin coats of paint...and maybe some layers of clear coat. let dry for a couple of hours or so...maybe half a day outside but free from dust or other contaminants that may affect the final finish. then install back into the car.

    very important ung prepping nung surfaces...especially the plastic primer for the paint to stick to it.
