well, dun sa dati kong lancer box-type eh it did reduce the heat to some degrees.

I don't know how effective it is in keeping your cabin cool pero it is effective in preserving your dash ;-) kasi no exposure to sun ka ngayon :-)

    it's USELESS.

other than cutting UV rays from the dash, as albert pointed, it doesn't do squat with heat reduction. If your AC is affected by dash heat, then there's something wrong with your AC since the evaporator is a couple of feet underneath the dash and the vent tubings are several inches below the dash, they're far enough to not be affected by residual surface heat.

You'll regret the adhesive marks after a couple of years as well.

dun sa singkit lancer ko nilagyan ng mom ko... effective naman sya kasi mas malamig yung hangin na binubuga ng aircon... but one thing i hate about it malakas mag ipon ng alikabok kahit anong pagpag o vac mo di maalis lahat... at yung double sided tape, once na naluto na adhesive sa dash di mo na maaalis mark nun... buti yung sa singkit namain hindi dinikit ng Mom ko...

gumamit din ako nyan. i would have to agree with mr. theveed's opinion.... NADA...
what it did is just to give me sneezing fits dahil puro alikabok na yung loob ng oto ko.
ang hirap pa tanggalin ng adhesive marks sa dash.

if you really would want to keep the interior of your cars cool, invest in good superblack tints. that is what i've done to my ride now. mabilis lumamig ang aircon even though naka park ka sa ilalim ng initan.

sun's rays are absorbed by dashield and the heat is released by dashield into your cabin air. so no heat reduction.

Hehe, if you want to reduce heat sa cabin, bili ka nalang siguro ng magandang door visors and leave a sliver of opening sa mga windows mo. For sure di kulob ang init sa oto pag balik...

Do you guys remember nung mga early 90's may binebenta na parang aerosol spray na malamig to reduce cabin heat...

that's what I do in the Rav4... sobrang minimal ng heat.

kung sa 323 naman (na walang visors), just a tiny crack in both the rear windows if I feel secured yung parking (and hindi uulan).
