Use a vacume cleaner to get as much dust off the seats.
Use diluted tide in water, brush to a foam in small sections at a time, then wipe off so as to minimize the amount of liquid the seats absorb.
Try the detailing shops because they usually have the know-how and proper equipments.
I'm assuming the seats you are buying are upholstered in fabric, right? Try using a stiff brush and vacuumto to get rid of loose debris. Removing dirt stains would be difficult. Whatever you do, dont get the fabric totally soaking wet since it is difficult to dry. Always make sure that any dampness have been rid off properly through extensive drying (under the afternoon sun for best results).
bosing...are you sure you want to get 2nd hand seats, or for that matter, anything fabric?
di mo kasi alam kung anong natapon diyan - food, drink, vomit, blood, fecal matter - you get the picture. lalo na kung family vehicle yung pinanggalingan niyan.
anyway, if you still want to do it i would recommend at least a reupholster. you can clean the seats with seat shampoo and stain remover (available at any auto supply shop), but i still wouldn't trust them.
you have a point...hehehe...after reading your post...napag isip isip ako...Originally Posted by M54 Powered

Originally Posted by theveed
aayusin nila lahat yan pati na yung mga foam at springs ng seats. pwede ka naman mamili kung canvas, leatherette or leather ang gagamitin. last year sa seatmate din kami nagpa reupholster ng seat ng landcruiser 60 series namin. ganda at pulido gawa nila. balik brand new at original yung design. pati dashboard pinapaint din namin sa kanila.
I think the only way is to have it done professionally and shampooed.
If you have it reupholstered, then it would be better to use your original seats and have it converted to save you cost.
Altering the structure of the seats can be done
* KelSeat: hmmm...i don't know...what would be much cheaper and at the same time will have good quality, altering my original seats or buying the seats which need only reconditioning? magkano kaya kung ipapaalter?
*all: sorry ha...medyo tight ang budget ko these days... any ideas on how much it will cost me on just reupholstery and not altering the seat structure?
THANKS!!!
