Unit ko is Innova Gas 2009 M/T 121K+ km. First time malinisan ang aircon. Alaga lang sa filter palit once a year linis every 3mos.
3 hours yun gawa 3 sila.
Cost:
* Labor + Filter Drier - 4,500.00
* 3 pcs Silicon Oil - 180.00 (60 x 3)
* 1 liter coolant (natapon kasi non tinggal nila radiator hose para madukot yun fan) - 202.00
* Tip - bigyan ko na lang daw isa nyan mekaniko na nagkalas ng fan
Total - 4,680 + 202.00 + Tip.
Salamat!
good day tsikoteers, have anyone tried toyota aircare service? how does it work(process)? does it really works? is it a replacement service to the traditional way of aircon servicing/maintenance/cleaning? if so, which is better - the new air care maintenance or the traditional? How much does it cost? Kindly share your experience. tia ☺️
pahabol, have anyone tried to do their pms at tyt sta. rosa? any feedbacks? recommended sa?
I have a friend who was once a customer service manager of toyota. He asked me if i got the aircare. I said no. And asked if it was effective.
His official answer as a toyota employee to a customer is yes, it works.
His unofficial answer to a friend is, its a waste of money and doesnt really work that well.
Basically, they drill an access port in the aircon hose then using an extended tube fill the coil with coil cleaner solution that washes away while aircon is in operation.

^ How much is this service (for 1st gen Innova)? Is this front only or do they also clean the rear A/C?
I am considering to use this short-cut approach because I have lots of things going on behind the dashboard and I'm sure it's going to be a PITA to have the A/C cleaned the conventional way with the whole dashboard removed.
This is it.
I'm considering since I can't find a decent shop that can do an aircon cleaning without destroying something in the system in the process. For a 2011 Innova.
But as the Toyota Service manager says it is useless.
Also noticed from the vid clip, the foam they will use to clean the inside. Will it damage the coil in the long term? How will they remove the cleaning completely?

opinion ko lang,
the way that video showed how the process goes,
the toyota method appears to be superficial. perhaps that is why they recommend it at frequent intervals. para ma-linis agad ang dumi, bago pumasok deep between the cooling fins at mag-build-up.
earlier models had no filter. toyota won't be able to easily create that service hole, if there is no filter access.
i have always believed, that there is no need to bring down the aircon, if it still cools fine.
but after over 10 years (and building curiosity), i finally gave my go-signal for the banawe guys to bring down my factory-original front evaporator for cleaning, even as the aircon still cooled me fine.
and what do you know! it's still clean! the filter actually works (heh heh).
and yes,
take your pick.
my suki is the corner establishment at the second (or third?) corner on the right, coming from quezon ave. it's opposite the restaurant. sorry but i can't give you the name. i don't know it, myself, as the advertisements have over-taken the karatula. it has a wheel-aligning set-up.
choose one that has a decent parking space, and not one that asks you to park on the road. there's no telling how long they're going to work on the vehicle.
i nave two innovae. one is fully-tinted all around (purchased it, used, kasi), the other has very light tint only and un-tinted front windshield. the tinted one cools faster.
If the system is not leaking try visiting Opti-Cool. Our Vios had the same symptoms but I didn't like the idea of tearing out the dash for a cleaning. Opti-Cool pumped out the old freon and oil and replaced it with a fresh batch. Cooled better than new when they were done. Check FB for locations.
