August 26th, 2010 11:57 AM #5TCI- Turbocharged and Intercooled
Pros: Less complicated, much simpler, less fuel sensitive, easier to repair and maintain, abundance in spare parts locally.
Cons: Less powerful, slow response, sluggish acceleration, lower top speed, higher emission level, higher fuel consumption, more engine vibration, noisy.
CRDI- Common Rail Direct Injection
Pros: More powerful, more responsive, lively acceleration, higher top speed, lower emission level, lower fuel consumption, smoother, less engine noise, modern design.
Cons: More complicated, fuel sensitive, requires highly skilled/ trained mechanics to diagnose and repair, requires the use of diagnostic tools and dedicated equipment to diagnose and repair, price and availability of spare parts.
