Lack Of Power On Long Drive - Hyundai Getz

Hi,

When the car was just started, the engine is responsive (accelerating is faster) but when after long drive with mix highway and congested traffic city driving, I noticed a lack of power not like when engine was fresh from start up. I just bought my Getz last month. I also feel the noticeable hardened of the clutch and gas pedals after some 40mins. to an hour of driving especially on heavy traffic + air-conditioning on.

Last Wednesday (23 March) I brought my Getz to the Service Center for its first 1,000 KM preventive maintenance service. I also brought up my concern about the seemingly power loss and the hardened of clutch and gas pedals after some 40mins city driving. They didn't see the symptoms maybe because of just a short test drive, instead, they just adjust the valve clearance. Could it be that the lack of power of the engine is because of the hardened clutch? I experience that when in heavy traffic. Please advice.

matigas tapakan ang clutch?? How is the hydro-vac fittings, hose and connections ok ba, no leakage? Baka may problema doon sa mga sinabi ko. Anyway press your complaint to the casa where you bought your unit. Better make a detailed documentation of symptoms & problems you've encountered.

PS. sorry hydro-vac.. nasa isip ko preno.. sorry for that.

Yung upper hydraulic cylinder ng clutch system ang ibig ko sabihin. Subukan mo kaya i-bleed ang hydraulic.

Sir weisshorn, pag bagong andar pa lang yung car malambot pa yung clutch ganon din yung gas pedal, pero pag nasa heavy traffic dela rosa street na ko after that noticeable na yung pag tigas ng clutch at gas pedals slightly. Basta ibang iba nung bagong andar pa lang yung car to the point na kailangan ko diinan pa yung apak sa gas para humatak ng husto unlike pag bagong andar pa lang very smooth ang acceleration at malambot ang clutch.

Ni-raise ko lang din po yung issue baka kasi normal na medyo tumitigas ang clutch pag mainit na or heavy traffic pero kasi parang hindi ganon ang nangyayari sa old model car ng brother ko.

Kung tumitigas ang clutch pag tumagal na ang driving for sure hindi ito normal except kung perception mo lang dahil pagod na ang mga paa mo.

Iniisip ko nga rin po yon kung pakiramdam ko lang na tumitigas ung clutch pero inoobserbahan ko talaga, minsan pag nakahinto sa traffic, tinitest ko yung clutch may difference talaga compared sa bagong andar pa lang, this time maganit na sya.

Btw, member po ako sa teamhyundaiphils kaso wala akong makitang forum nila for discussing this matter.

Seems to be a hydrovac problem. Have it checked and replaced if necessary.

Take the SA on a long road test. Does it also happen if you pump the clutch repeatedly
