1. If you're the everyday consumer, there's no problem in getting OEM-made head units.

2. Your definition of SQ is more defined about your digital signal processing more than anything else. Any head unit can sound good as long as they have DSP.

3. All head units are made in China or some low-cost country. Even Pioneers and Alpines... well, maybe except their 6-digit head units (Pioneer ODRs and Alpine F1 Status) which are probably still made in Japan.

4. As to which OEM-made head unit you should choose: go for the features you'll be using, the interface that you like, and finally... a price that is justifiable. In other words, don't mind the branding.

5. Oh, and I'm on my stock head unit too. Except that it performs much like those 6-digit head units... after a few tweaks here and there (which aren't for the faint-of-heart) and I professionally compete. Ako lang ganito saamin though

Agree ako sa sinabi ni jhnkvn regarding DSP and amps. In my case, Audison BitOne gamit ko with external amp. This augments my OEM HU.

Guys do your santa fes have a "lifetime" fuel economy reading that you can access on your dash menu? it bases its reading on your odometer, not just trip A or trip B reading. if it does have, whats your "lifetime" fuel economy then? thanks!

Magkano yun work? Nagpa 10k pms ako last saturday sa HQA and told them about this issue. Sabi lang sa kin to observe if may basa kapag umuulan. Parang di sila aware sa issue. Dahil siguro hindi sya recall.

Official ba yun paglagay ng sealant or if pa request lang ng customer?

they'r suppose to know it, if u wait until it gets wet then the hassle (of waiting for days) to completely get the car cleaned/dried/extra sealing...instead of just spending half a day to get it re-sealed and fixed!

They say it is good, it uses ceramic instead of metal flakes. If you mount those car dvrs with GPS it will not have any signal issues, they say ah.. vkool ko di maka get ng good ng GPS signal from my car DVR, because of the metal flakes. Although my car navi works fine except for those smaller GPS units which are weak they tend to have issues getting good signal. Tried vkool and yung pa laban ni solarguard sa vkool, both work ok. Although I am more biased with Vkool as I have them on two cars, the clear tint of Vkool has the most heat rejection and is very effective in my opinion over the next shade.

If you are looking for normal tint okay din color shade ng vkool it has this greenish blue color sa dark shade nila, yun ang napansin ko. 3M or Solarguard will also work fine wag lang yung Platinum yung brand, bad quality and not scratch proof.

I have a Huper Optik tint installed on my SF3 and all I can say is that I feel comfortable with it even driving during noon time. God heat rejection. Medyo pricey nga lang.
