Just brought my SF45 to Hyundai Marcos Highway to have my weather strip replaced. Took them half a day including PMS. I urge all SF45 owners to have your unit checked for leaks.

I checked the bottom of the luggage tray and it's dry even after leaving the car out during the night while it rained, although it's mostly showers, no hard rain. Will bring it to dealer still for them to check especially if there is a need to replace the weatherstrip as a preventive measure.

By the way, wanted to check, has anyone experienced difficulty driving when it rains - I noticed that with the Sta Fe, there seems to be a delay for the moisture to evaporate after the wipers passes thus having moments where the windshield is not as transparent as I would like it to be. I also noticed that the rain drops on the side windows as well as the rear window takes long to dissipate. I don't have these issues with the CRV or Innova so wondering if it's specific to the glass Hyundai uses? I already shampoo the car including all the windows and the vinegar treatment to no avail. Appreciate any input to help.

Hmm, so far ok naman yung moisture dissipation sakin. Personally I dont think its the glass, it might be the placement of vents or the humidity/airconditioning.

*bjreyesmd, just to clarify, it's not the fogging of the windows. When it rains and you turn on the wiper, at the moment the wiper passes an area and removes the water, the residue water takes time to dry up (this when even light rain) the effect of which is there is a moment when it seems there is a thin layer of water on the windshield which affects it's transparency.

On the rain drops for the side/back windows, just noticed it takes time for the rain drops to slide down the glass so combined with the issue in the paragraph above, makes it hard to drive when it rains. I don't have the same issue with Toyota or Honda so wondering if it has something to do with the type of glass/wipers that Hyundai uses.

Kung hindi sa wiper ang problema nyan ang suggestion ko lang ipa detail mo ang windshield at lahat ng windows ng car mo. There is a residue of "something" in the glass that is why it's like that. Parang ganyan din yung sa ASX ko before at pina detail ko nga and all is well after that. Big Berths or Hillsborough can do that for you.

Well I think that is normal specially living in the city it might have accumulated a very thin layer of oil film. If you live in an area where there are a lot of vehicles especially trucks and jeepneys, definitely you get oil your windscreen more often. You can clean it with glass compound and apply water repellant. I use the ones below they work very well for me.



The effect should be that water droplets tend to slide away easily and should only be little. If blotches of water droplets is what you see and sticks to glass it only means it is dirty with oil film, you will also notice that they are not circular small droplets accumulating and sticking to the glass but bigger ones. It is also not an issue with wiper blades unless it is very contaminated with oil or deteriorated rubber blades. Doc Reyes may also be right it must be the Aircon vent positioning.

Yes sir. That's normal lang. Ganyan din ang sa car ko but it quickly disappears pag medyo mataas na sikat ng araw.

There are mods na pag pinatulan is as if we're saying nagkamali tyo in buying our unit and should have instead buy other brand -
IMO, this mods fit the bill.

Masyado kasi mahal quotation na nakuha ko galing sa SA ko. 50k for hu, 8k gps and 4k for rear cam. Kung sakaling hindi naman ma-void warranty, baka meron kayong kilalang SA/casa na may best deal. TIA

sa tatlong Hyundai dealerships napuntahan ko : Hyundai LP; Greenhills (at EDSA); Pasong Tamo ext....puro lahat ganyan bukang bibig nila...pag hindi sa kanila binili...they won't install it, and siempre void ang Warranty... i just find it unreasonably narrow minded on their part.... anyway mukhang madami naman ata satisfied owner's pa install sa reputable shops and mukhang ok naman....no need worry much, go for the mod/upgrade that will make u happy.

I also have Growl HU, ok naman siya for everyday listening. All the controls work including the steering phone buttons which I need for hands free calls. But, since may pagka-audiophile ako, had DSP and amps installed and changed all speakers to aftermarket with subwoofer.

Check with your casa if it will void the warranty of your headunit, wag naman sana buong warranty ng sasakyan. For the headunit price that depends what model you are looking at, I suggest going to a reputable car audio shop.

Depends on which modifications. The moment you splice or add an additional load (ex. aftermarket amplifier) agad wala na electricals mo. Only the electricals unless may ginawa ka rin sa mga ibang parts.
