All HARI casas will be open until 12 midnight today & tomorrow due to their 'Filipino Brilliance' event, including the service dept. FYI.

*T|tan: The Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is about the Cowl Cross Bar Bracket Bolt Retightening. Sorry, I wasn't able to take pics since I wasn't allowed to enter the service bay so I just had to view my SF while being serviced from the customers' lounge. I'm not sure if this TSB applies to KDM units. AFAIK, Pitstop asks Hyundai Q. Av for info regarding TSBs.

*imperialv: Ok naman ang service, lumagpas nga lang ng 30 minutes kasi naabutan ng afternoon break nila pero malinis at pulido ang trabaho. Dito ako sa Hyundai Dagupan nagpaservice.

*EQAddict, I can only make comparison with the montero vgt, the SF3 accelerates faster. Hope that helps.

Hmm, I was fortunate for one CASA to allow me to test drive the SF3... This was the deciding factor bro, the moment I drove the vehicle, I knew what I would buy, hehe.

Di pa kasi ako nakagamit foot brake. hehehe.

First 1k PMS, left my unit at HQA for paint retouch under warranty. Found out that a hand-sized portion of the lower left rear door has no clear coating. Initially thought my mantsa lang but factory defect pala. Difficult to see kasi white.

After spending 2 months in the Gobi desert, I was finally able to get my hands on the new Santa Fe. Those 2 months I spent reading what I could gather from the internet about the SF. I probably read most of the reviews and e-brochures the e-world has to offer.

Is the SF good? No, it is not good…it’s awesome.

Is it fast? No, it is not fast…it flies. Come December 25 I woke up early hoping to find a lonely stretch of road. I had to drive for almost 40km towards Davao Oriental before I found the spot. It was a straight road all to myself. The e-brochure says it can do 190km/h. So I floored the accelerator and the rpm just went straight to 3800 and everything behind me became a blur as I found myself pushed to the seat. The speedo started rapidly climbing to 180km/h then stopped a bit and slowly inched itself to 190km/h. It seems to be speed-limited because I can feel the engine has got power to give. It does 100km/h at 1800rpm and 120km/h at 2000rpm.

Does it look alright? No, it does not look alright…it attracts you. It does not look too masculine and got just enough crease to make it ***y. The automatic folding of the side mirror and its welcoming light makes you want to play with it. The cornering light is a welcome aid during night driving. Did I forget the LED “eyebrow” of the headlight which you can turn on during daytime driving? It makes SF a head-turner.

Is the ride comfortable? No, it is not comfortable…it makes you feel you are in a luxury sedan. Climate control is very good with attention given to the comfort of the passengers The outside noise is muffled and sound like a rolling thunder coming from afar. It is very stable and seems to stick to the road. The instrumentation is well laid and pleasing to the eyes. I particularly love the Bluetooth capability and the option to select the steering preference from comfy to normal to sport. The leg room for the 3rd row passengers can be increased by moving the 2nd row seat forward and they even have A/C vent of their own.

Is the fuel consumption acceptable? The e-brochure says it can do 13.5km/li city-highway driving. I am currently getting 11.9km/li with almost 2000km in the odometer.

This is one Santa I will be keeping company this holiday season.
